Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we take a look at this Curt 18 inch long solid steel, three-inch hitch receiver tube in the raw finish. Now this Curt 18 inch long steel receiver tube can be used to extend the reach of your receiver or even a create a piece of custom towing equipment. The construction on this is a nice hot rolled steel for superior strength. If you notice, it is designed with rounded corners for greater versatility and it is designed to accept a three inch by three inch shank. If you notice on the outer edge here, it has a half inch reinforcing collar all the way around, to give an extra strength.
Does have the pre-drilled five eighths inch diameter hitch pinhole and as we mentioned, it is a raw finish, so it's all ready for welding. A few dimensions on this. The overall length from one end to the other, if we put a ruler on that, it's gonna be right at 18 inches long. And then we mention the internal dimension is gonna be right at three inches wide by three inches tall. And the last measurement I want to give you is from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the shank.
So again, if we put a ruler on that, that's gonna be right at two and a half inches long. But that should do it for the review on this Curt 18 inch long solid steel, three inch hitch receiver tube in the raw finish.

I cut out slots in my trailer frame on the back end and welded this through several framing members to create a heavy duty anchor point for a spare tire or a small bike rack. It worked perfectly and I couldn’t be happier
This was for the base of a generator base to mount on the front of my truck. Quality was as expected. delivery was prompt. I ended up using a aluminum piece instead as the piece was heavier than I expected. I'll use it for another project some day
Used to convert a 2 inch receiver hitch so my 2.5 inch Blue Ox tow bar would fit over this hitch bar. Had to drill one hole to secure this bar to the 2 inch receiver. Worked perfect and saved me from getting another tow bar when I traded vehicles.

Parts were perfect. I used them to weld up a 2” drop for my tow bar on my RV. Since there is no vertical load I just beveled and welded it together.
