Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a 2.5" receiver tube. Now, the 2.5" measurement is the hitch opening, so the opening measures 2.5" tall, by 2.5" wide. This unit is made from a carbon steel construction with a nice raw finish, so that way you can prime and paint it to match whatever it is that you're installing this on. What you're going to do is designs allow you to create or fabricate a piece of custom towing equipment. It is a weld-on installation. The overall length, measuring edge to edge gives us a measurement of 18".
The receiver tube has a 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole, which will accept a standard 5/8" diameter pin or hitch lock, to secure your hitch related items and accessories inside the receiver tube. From the front of the hitch opening to the center of the hitch pin hole, measures 2.5", it has the collar right here welded to the opening. This unit features a maximum gross trailer weight capacity of up to 20,000 pounds. And that's going to do it for today's look at the 2.5" receiver tube.
