Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in the rear cargo area. You will have to remove the plastic threshold cover, side panels, and cargo trays to access this harness.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this T-One vehicle wiring harness with four-pole flat trailer connector. Now, this harness has been designed to fit your 2021 to 2023 Tesla Model Y. And on custom-fit parts such as this harness, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So this is going to give you a four-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights.
This is gonna be compatible with five, six, and seven-pole adapters. Those adapters are sold separately. Something I really like about the conscious wiring harness is their cap here is tethered to the housing of the four-way flat. So you're not gonna lose that cap. Obviously, that cap is there to protect the contact points there when you're not using this.
So again, that's tethered to the plug. And as you know, this four-way wiring harness is going to keep your trailer's, brake lights, turn signals, and running lights powered and in sync with your vehicle. Now, this wiring harness is designed to make installation on your vehicle simple, safe, and reliable. What's nice about a harness like this is you're not gonna have to worry about cutting or splicing. These custom-fit T-connectors are gonna snap directly into your factory wiring harness, so you can get your trailer lights up and running without any cutting or splicing.
You're just gonna plug these in and you're gonna be ready to tow. Now, this vehicle's wiring harness, or your vehicle's wiring harness is often behind a trim panel or under a cargo floor. Some vehicles may require removing the interior panels or lifting carpeted sections to reach it. This does include this ModuLite powered converter, which is gonna protect your Tesla's electrical system. This converter module isolates your vehicle-sensitive wiring from potential overloads or shorts from the trailer.
It draws power directly from your vehicle's battery. So this is, you're not gonna have to worry about blown fuses or anything like that. And this is gonna be especially important for modern vehicles with complex electrical systems. So it's gonna maintain the signal integrity for consistent trailer lighting performance. So this kit comes with everything that you are going to need to get this wired into place. You're going to get fuses, you're gonna get cable ties, and connectors, and you're gonna be able to do a complete installation here without the need for hunting down for other things here. Instructions of course, are included as well to guide you through that installation process. One thing I will mention though, it is recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all of your electrical connections, like the plugs on the vehicle end and the four-pole connector itself. That grease is designed to help prevent electrical failures caused by corrosion and moisture. So on your screen, I am including our item number for that grease. You can just take that item number, pop it in the search field of our website, that will take you to that grease, and you can add that to your order. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that our brief time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
