Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your rear cargo area. You will need to remove some interior paneling to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because your vehicle runs on a multiplex wiring system, the wiring needs to be converted to be compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector. Now this is a custom fit harness that is designed to fit the 2019 and newer Freightliner and Mercedes Sprinter 2500 and 3500. To confirm that this is going to work for you take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here etrailer.com and input the year, make and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will let you know if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. This harness is gonna give you a 4-pole flat trailer connector at the back of your Sprinter to power your trailer signal lights. It is compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters and those adapters are sold separately but can be found here etrailer.com. And if you notice, we have an included dust cap for this 4-pole flat connector and that's going to help keep out dust and dirt and debris keeping that plug clean for you.
And this cap is tethered to the plug so there's no risk of misplacing it or losing it. Now this black box here is the ModuLite Power Module and this ModuLite is going to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer. It's going to connect directly to your vehicle's battery to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. So it's going to reduce strain on your Sprinter's wiring system. This harness is designed to connect quickly and easily so there's not going to be any splicing of wires or no alterations to your vehicle's wiring which could lead to damage or voiding warranties.
The connections with the yellow wires are gonna go on your driver's side and the connections with the green wires here are gonna go to your passenger side. And the custom fit T-One connectors are going to plug into your Sprinter's wiring harness which is located inside your rear cargo area. You will need to remove some interior paneling to access this harness. And these connectors are custom fitted for your Sprinter. So they're going to match up perfectly with the connection points on your Sprinter and they're going to snap and lock together for a tight, secure fit.
Now once you have these plugged in, you will need to make a good ground connection. And this ground wire is the white wire here. This has a ring terminal attached to it, and it does come with a self-tapping screw that is going to allow you to ground this. So just get all, all you need to do is get this grounded to a suitable location such as your Sprinter's frame or cross member. You do want to make sure that that surface is clean and rust free.
Next, you will need to mount the ModuLite box to a safe out of the way location. And you can do that again with another mounting screw if you have one on hand or with this included double sided adhesive tape or with one of the many included cable ties that's provided in this kit. Next, you will need to run the hot lead to the vehicle's battery and that's this short black wire that's coming out of our ModuLite box here. This short black wire is going to get connected to one end of this included bundle of black wire using one of the included butt connectors that comes in the kit. And then the other end of this bundle is going to get routed to your vehicle's battery. And once you have this routed to your battery you're then going to take the fuse holder here and cut the yellow wire in half and connect one of the wires with the second butt connector to the routed black wire. And then you're going to take the other half of the fuse holder and that's going to get a terminal ring that you see right here and that will be attached to your vehicle's battery, this ring terminal here. And it does come with a 15 amp fuse that will go inside of this fuse holder. And then this has a cap that's going to keep that fuse safe and protected. Now you can secure any excess slack in your wiring with the included cable ties. And again, this kit comes with many cable ties. So I think you're gonna have plenty to secure any slack that you might have. And once the installation is complete the 4-way flat connector can be stowed in your rear cargo area. The maximum amperage for the stop-turn lights is five amps per circuit and for the taillights, 7.5 amps per circuit. This is constructed of 16 gauge bonded wire. You're going to get instructions which will walk you through step-by-step through the insulation process. And it is also recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all of your electrical connections like the plugs on the vehicle and the 4-pole connector itself. It's designed to help prevent electrical failures caused by corrosion and moisture. So I have our item number for a tube of that grease on your screen. Just take that item number and put it in the search field of our website and it will take you to that tube of dielectric grease and you can add that to your order. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
The order was as described and ready to install.
