Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Ford F-150 with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting or splicing required.
Features:
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper, near the driver's-side frame rail.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Today we're going to be taking a look at a Hopkins Plug-in Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with a four pole flat trailer connector. This product fits certain years and models of the Ford F-150 and F-250 pick ups. To see if this is a fit for your vehicle, you can use the vehicle fit guide located at etrailer.com. Now, this unit is custom fit for your vehicle. It's going to provide a four way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. This is compatible with five pole, six pole and seven pole adapters. Adapters are sold separately, and it's going to come with a dust cap for the four way flat connector.
That way you can cut off the connection points when your plug's not being used. This is going to connect quickly and easily. It does not require any cutting or splicing. All you have to do is locate the connection point behind the rear bumper and plug in your connector. The plugs on this harness are going to match up perfectly with the ports of the vehicle. They're going to snap lock together for a nice tight secure fit.
Once you have that connected, you'll need to make a ground connection. You're going to have a white wire with a ring terminal attached to it. That's your ground wire. It's also going to come with a grounding screw, so you want to get that grounded to a nice clean metal surface. Then you can secure any excess or slacking your wiring with the included cable ties. Now once your install is complete, the four way connector's going to be stowed beneath the vehicle near the trailer hitch.
You can loop it around a safety chain loop or you can purchase a mounting bracket. Mounting brackets are sold separately, but we do recommend a mounting bracket to keep the connector secure and easily accessible, near the hitch. It's also recommended that you use a small amount of terminal grease on all electrical connections, like the plugs on the vehicle and the four pole connector itself. That grease is going to help prevent corrosion and it is included. Great product, I got this harness because the runing light quite working and only had brake lights on the trailer and I couldn’t find out way. After testing the wires I found out it was the harness on the truck. After looking online I seen etrailer wire harness, I wonder if this was the answer to my problem and it worked has I hoped it would. Took about 10 minutes to hook up, just had to remove the spare tire. I will be buying from etrailer again.
Order came fast. One problem,it's the wrong part. The part I need is round,and has 4 contacts. The part sent has 12 contacts and is rectangle in shape. It will most likely cost me more to ship it back than what I paid for it. Learn from my mistake of ordering part from out of state. First and last time customer.
