Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Rampage Padded Center Console. Now, this padded center console is gonna provide extra storage space in your vehicle for your smaller items and your cups. Now, this is designed specifically to fit between the front seats of your 1986, through 1995 Suzuki Samurai. The base will fit around the handle of the emergency brake as well, so it is going to be very custom fit for your Samurai.
As you can see, on the top, we are gonna have two cup holders, and so that we can very easily have our drinks in there as we're traveling around, and then the top will lift up for access to our storage compartment. Now, this is only about three inches deep, so it's not gonna give you a whole lot of space. I was kind of surprised with how tall this is, that that doesn't go any deeper than it does, but it'll still give you a little bit more than you currently have, so that you can store some receipts, or garbage, whatever else you might want to put away, and put that in there so that you have that up and out of the way, and give your vehicle a little bit more of a clean look. This does have the padded charcoal color vinyl here. That's going to make this very stylish in your vehicle.
You won't have to worry about sharp edges cutting into your feet or your legs. If we look at our overall dimensions, you can see that this is about 14 inches long, approximately 14 inches tall, and about six inches wide. So, if you are wanting to add a little bit of storage space for your Suzuki Samurai, this is gonna be a great way to go. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com.

Love it, color matches perfectly, easy to install, just loosen seatbelt brackets, install where you want it and tighten the seatbelt brackets down again and it’s solid. I bought it for the cup holders and it’s great. The fact there’s a storage area is a bonus, if there’s one thing the samurai lacks it storage. Win win. Definitely love the product.

I bought this to see if it would fit my ‘97 Geo Tracker and it totally does! I’m excited to have a center console and cup holders for this rig. It also acts as an armrest of sorts. All in all I am quite happy with this. Had to get creative with mounting it, but we figured it out.

I had purchased a Used Ram 1500 SSV (Special Service Vehicle...a sheriff's truck) that had a police-equp't mounting-plate instead of a front console.
That equip't was removed leaving only the mounting plate.... Which gave me no place to put my coffee mug...but DID give me a place to FORGET it...and spill coffee all over the rear floorboards/carpet when accelerating.
So I ordered the "Rampage" console and it arrived quickly in good shape....considering that it's like many things aftermarket and cheaply upholstered...I didn't give it much respect.
THAT has CHANGED. I LOVE IT.
Here's a few details, however, about installing it.
For unknown reasons it has a "false floor" at its forward 1/3rd portion...making it "interesting" as to how to securely Mount It. I carefully measured where the sheriffs mounting plate had slots....marked the console bottom ...and drilled hoes for 1/4" machine screws/bolts, washers and nuts....but had no way to access the interior to tighten the bolts ...without removing the fwd cup holder and using a holesaw to cut access holes to reach the 1/4" bolt heads with a socket and extension.
(BTW, the cup holders are mounted using a "button-head" screw in the middle of the cup-bottom.... Creating a possible broken cup or bottle when it hits that screwhead. I replaced the screws with ordinary counter-sunk wood screws, which leaves a "smooth" bottom in the cup holders.)
The final result, is a Very Useful and moderately-attractvie center console which will prove Much More Useful for me than that original police-mounting-plate.

After a year, the console still looks like new. The padded "leather" has no cuts or visible wear. The gray color blends with the black and gray interior. The spring-loaded drink holders all still work, and it has been useful to have four drink locations. It sits at the right height between the seats. I did place a small piece of 2x4 wood underneath the front to make it sit without rocking, as the bottom is not flat. It is great to have this center storage to keep all my CDs handy but out of sight. It holds a ton of them in the two flip up compartments. Before I got this console, there was no place to put them. E-trailer has been good to work with every time I have ordered something.

This console is a great size. Not so small that it's useless. Big enough for 4 cup holders and 2 very roomy compartments. The top of the console is just a out an inch taller than the seats. The padding on the arms is comfortable. The bottom is waited to keep it where you put it. Very nice after market addition.

If you need a car organizer get this one. It has 4 cup holders! FOUR! The 2 storage compartments are large and roomy, big enough to hold a bottle of hand sanitizer; standing up! Plenty of room for all your cords, sunglasses, hand lotion, snacks, pepper spray, anything. One compartment has a place for your cds. Just take them out of the holder and slide them in. Look how much space you just freed up. Love the color and the smooth exterior. Easier to wipe clean. I just can say enough good things about it. BUY ONE!

Im enjoying it a lot, the things I wish could be changed are length, 2 shorter would be ideal for me anyway.., it crowds the dashboard area & its hard to use some of the storage area., and the snap on little card holder in the first section is sort of needless, mine keeps coming unsnapped.
