Hi everybody. My name is Andy with etrailer.com And today we're going to be looking at Coghlans's nine-function, multi-tool pocket knife. If you're looking for an affordable, highly visible, compact multi-tool pocket knife, I might have the one for you. Let's take a closer look at this, and I'm gonna kind of scoot in here a little bit so you can have a clear view of this knife. I carry something like this on my person all the time, and I find this handy, not only for camping, or hiking, or things like that, but just to have with you are no matter where you go. It's always good to be prepared with a knife or a pair of scissors, and this does fit the bill.

First thing I like about this is it is highly visible. So if you happen, if it happens to slip out of your hand while you're walking on the trail or out in the woods somewhere, I think you would be able to easily find it. If you knew about the area where you think that you lost it. Some of the features here is of course, first of all, the large blade that we have on here and this blade is, it's okay in regards to sharpness, but I think once you received it, it would be good to sharpen it yourself, to give it a little bit more of an edge. If you're interested to know how long this blade is, this blade sitting right about two and a half inches long.

So that would be the large blade on this particular pocket knife. And again, I would recommend a sharpen up once you receive it. Then, we do have our trustee can opener, and this has a nice aggressive point to it, to dig into that can of tuna, or that can of soup, and that should open that up for you very nicely. And we also, as we move, continue to move through the functions here, we have a, what I would consider to be a medium sized straight slot screwdriver head that can also be used sometimes for Phillips screws, depending on the size, and then combined with this is our bottle opener and you can see there that will help you open up those tin caps or glass bottles. And then moving along, one of my favorite features of knives like these are the scissor functionings.

You don't know when, just how often these can come in handy, whether you need to snip off a thread or even cut through some wire in a pinch. Scissors like these are always very handy to have on you. Now, we're going to move to the other side of this knife and take a look at the corkscrew. Of course, corkscrew is good for opening up the corks on your bottles, but I found that these are very handy for untangling pretty difficult knots that need to, when the course through that all go a long way and loosen to that up and are getting that not worked out for you. And then in the middle here, we have a nice nail file with the cleaner as well.

So you can always have your nails looking at their best, and then we have a full rounded Phillips head screwdriver. And what I like about having the Phillips head here is it gives you a little bit more of a torque when you're turning those screws in the way that it's positioned there. For round out the functions of this knife, we do have our trusty pair of tweezers. I will let you know that when I originally opened up this knife to take a look at it, the tweezers we're in there pretty tight, so just be aware of that, but a good pair of tweezers was always good to have on hand. And then of course, something that I use on my knife quite a bit is the toothpick. I probably will use that more than the tweezers, and it's always good to have something like that to make sure that your smile is always nice and clean. Taking a look here at some of the other things here. Again, it's a very nice size, very compact. We do have a keyring on here, and I use this from time to time to put this, depending on the size of the knife that I'm using on my keyring, just to have it easily accessible. But what I have here is Coghlan's carabiner. This is the eight millimeter carabiner, and this has an included keyring. And what's nice about having a keyring on your knife is that you can just easily slide this here on another keyring. And this will give you kind of the ability to put this on your belt loop and have it easily accessible. So you can find this carabiner on our website. Item number CG68PR. Well, let me give you some final measurements on this knife from Coghlan. It is sitting right at three and a half inches long, and the width at its widest point is right at about an inch wide.
