Great product, awesome price and very easy to install

by:

Everything was included to install the cooler and instruction sheet is useful. Hardest issue is where to mount. No leaks so far. Should help trans temps while towing.

Oil cooler works great, Only thing that I have an issue with is I can not use my stock oil filter with it. I have a 1992 Chevy K3500 with a 454 tonawanda 7.4 liter. In the instructions it is telling me to use a filter that is for a 350 or a 5.6 liter. But I was told by Derale that I should have no issues at all.

1 day early shipping, and excellent products, will use again

The fan is nice, the brass compression barbed fittings did not work. They leaked from both threads. I paid for fancy with a quickness 2 day shipping, took 5 days. I’m just glad I wasn’t too much in a hurry to cool my dads transmission for his road trip.

This is a good cooler however on a 4 wheel drive avalanche it's a challenge to get it installed in a position that will work with all of that equipment under there. I pinched the oring a little bit and it's leaking very slightly. On the next oil change I'll replace the oring, other than that this cooler works great.

Great customer service! My first stop for my trailer needs.

If the excessive heat is indeed what's causing your 5.9 magnum to burn oil (good compression could back that up) then yes, an oil cooler would indeed help in your situation. There are two ways to tap into the oil system for a cooler, a sandwich adapter which fits in between the filter and the filter landing on the vehicle or a remote mount which has a spin-on adapter that installs at the filter landing and features a remote mount that allows you to install the filter elsewhere, such as...
