Features to know about
Stable Handling on Every Mile: Frame-Mounted Strength
These front camper tie-downs mount directly to your truck’s frame—the strongest part of the vehicle—so your camper’s weight is spread evenly and stays low for a stable ride. That lower center of gravity keeps sway in check, even on long stretches and rough roads. The solid frame connection means your camper won’t shift or bounce around when crosswinds hit or when you’re cornering with a load.
Install Without Drilling: Custom-Fit Tie-Downs
Each tie-down bolts to existing holes in the frame for a nearly drill-free setup. The brackets fit tight and high, so you keep full ground clearance with no need for cutting or major modifications. This custom fit makes it easy to line everything up and finish the job quickly using basic tools.
Clean Look When Not in Use: Removable Arms
Once the camper is off, remove the tie-down arms and your truck looks clean again. The brackets stay tucked under the body, nearly invisible, so you don’t have metal sticking out or hanging low when you’re driving without the camper.
Adjustable Connection for a Secure Hold
Each tie-down arm has two pin holes that let you set the right reach and angle for your turnbuckles (sold separately). The adjustment keeps the hardware clear of sidewalls or fenders while holding your camper steady from multiple points. That means less stress on your gear and a more even clamp every time.
Built Tough: Powder Coated Steel Construction
Made from black powder coated steel, these tie-downs resist rust and corrosion from road grime, salt, and weather. The heavy-duty finish keeps them looking good and performing strong through years of hauling and travel.

They work great, but if you have full length wheel to wheel round tube nerf step bars, they will not clear them. I had to change my step bars to the cab length type. They will likely clear a flat running board, not sure. This was the only fitment issue i had. 1435457

Yes, unfortunately, these will depend greatly on needing to know the cab style, and if the truck had running boards or steps, and what kind of trailer hitch the truck has. Once you have this information you will be able to determine what tie downs will fit best for your application.

This is the third set, third vehicle, I have installed these camper tie-downs on. Once you are used to torklift instructions/ pictures the installation is not that hard ( even for me at 74 years old). The torklift product itself is well made and works great. 3626958

F-350 Super Duty
These tiedowns were great. They fit my 2023 ford f350 4wd crew cab perfectly. They bolted on using existing holes and they included wire feeders to feed the bolts through all the holes. Everything was included in the kit and installation was pretty simple. Probably took an hour or so. Directions were very good and easy to follow. They hold my camper down very securely and are adjustable for various widths. Also easy to drill different hokes for custom widths. I highly recommend this tie down for this model truck. 3152977
These tie downs are sill working as advertised. I have travelled over 20,000 mi with them in various conditions with about 10 of that time in dirt roads or 4wd roads. Nothing too crazy, but with my camper and these tied downs I am confident that the camper will remain attached and be secure. It hardly moves around at all. They are worth the money and I can still remember how easily they installedvery welll thought out design and installation!

Product came promptly, however, part of the tie-down was sticking out through the box when delivered. Stronger packaging is suggested. Everything fit well and instructions were quite handy, making much of the otherwise difficult installation easier. There was mention of possible alteration of the emergency brake cable support if it was a manual system. Extra parts were even included if needed. However, on a 2025, 5.5' F-150, nothing was said about a main exhaust support being in the way of the passenger side's installation. The tie-downs are now installed but I'm still trying to figure out how to re-install the muffler support. 3529839

Hi Jim! I can see why that would be frustrating for sure. The good news is you usually don’t have to do anything drasticmost fixes come down to slightly repositioning the exhaust system rather than fully relocating it. That can mean loosening and adjusting a bolt-on hanger, adding a small spacer, or even tweaking the hanger position just enough to create some clearance.
I’ll drop this article here since it walks through a few simple ways to fix it step-by-step, but overall you’re on the right track it’s typically just a matter of giving the exhaust a little more room so nothing is rubbing or under tension. This help article is about a hitch install but it still applies here.
The front mounts installed relatively easily with no drilling or modification. Instructions were ok, i recommend doing the passenger side first, as it has no gas tank in the wayand you will get the idea of the mount and order of tightening. I had to use double washers(provided) on the replacement bed bolt provided to make it work properly. The mounts themselves are solid and well made. Roughly .120 wall tubing. I sprayed cold galvanizing paint inside the tubes to prevent corrosion. etrailer’s service and shipping were top notch and fast. Total install about 4 hours, but I work slowly and take my time. 3396080
The photos are very small with poor dark images and contrast. Also, the names of the nuts, bolts, and other items should have photos of each item with the description and name of that item in each photo.
It appears that you don't want to help the customer install it on his own.
The tie downs are well made and strong.
I will give you more feedback when I get deeper into the installation... 3622261

We originally installed Happijack tiedowns in 2013 because that was the only option that the dealer offered and they did well until we unexpectedly went over a large hump in a highway road damaging the front tiedowns and the bumper! Once the damage was repaired, we decided to go with the frame mounted Torklyft tiedowns, which, although not inexpensive, are superior in my opinion to the non-frame tiedowns. Earlier this year we replaced the rear tiedowns prior to a trip to Alaska and they worked extremely well over the notoriously challenging roads thru the Yukon Territory and Alaska “highways”. Upon our return we replaced the front Happijack tiedowns with the Torklyft frame mounted tiedowns and so far are very pleased with the upgrade. 3470300

Glad to hear you are liking them, Milton! And I agree, the TorkLift tie downs are superior to the HappiJac tie downs. They are just more secure and heavier duty. At least in my opinion.
And that sounds like quite the trip! Was it just a camping trip or did you do some fishing and or hunting?

Keep in mind the parameters of the application these may be different on another vehicle. Camper is a Northern lite 9-6. Vehicle Chevy 3500 LB SRW 4x4. Post install, in my opinion. I’d feel my comfortable if the ‘FastGun’ tie downs were facing opposing directions. Currently attaching to the designated anchor points all four FG’s angle from the TorkFit anchor point BACK towards the NL camper’s anchor points. This positively prevents the 3600 LB. camper from rearward movement. However FOWARD movement can and has occurred. After a necessary sudden braking event I checked my clearances and discovered that forward movement did occur. About, one inch. My NL slid far enough forward that contact was made between the vehicle and the camper. Realignment was necessary. From an Engineers perspective: the best anchorage would be achieved with the anchoring devices (FastGuns, in my case) installed in opposing directions. In the future I will be placing blocks between the camper and the front of the truck bed to eliminate any forward movement. 1475838
I reached out to the manufacturer. They advised that they think it is a combination of the Northern light camper anchor point location being situated so far back on the camper and possibly the front of the camper not being all the way against the bulkhead of the bed if it is moving forward still. Otherwise, everything looks typical of a truck camper and truck installation. If it has any room to slide forward, it will in a sudden braking situation.

Jenny thanks for your reply and diligence in reaching out to TorkFit. The NL camper does have forward bumpers for abutting the bulkhead. However when bulkhead contact is made the body of the my 21 Silverado makes contact with the fiberglass body of the camper. The pressure from a recent ‘sudden stop’ and ‘slide forward’ created enough pressure to chip paint on the truck. The bumpers make contact with the bulkhead about 10”-12” above the bed-bulkhead connection. The 90* corner at bottom, this should be the strongest area. I will install stop chocks at future loadings. I’ll also attempt to possibly install the TorkFits in a more vertical position. Thanks.

Jason was great to work with on getting the proper camper tie downs for my truck as it was a new truck and was a bit confused as to the proper application.
I had them installed within an hour. Even an armature bolt twister could do this!
I have used my camper a lot since putting these on my truck and will tell you these are THE MOST SECURE ANCHORS I have ever used on any of my trucks PERIOD!
You will not make a bad decision going with this product. I recommend these tie downs over any product available! I Don't normally give recommendations or endorse products. These I am truly impressed with. 802311

I had the mountings professionally attached to the frame. The hatches can be easily removed when not in use( and I would recommend that to keep them from being stolen). Using chains and turnbuckles, I feel very comfortable with my truck camper staying where it is.. does not rock, very solid. It’s nice to feel secure about my camper staying firmly attached. It was worth the investment. 1329190
A year later, I just got back from camping trip. I love the easy set up of these hitches. I’m a 65 year old woman, and I can put these mounts on my truck in less than five minutes. Then, another 10 or 15 to put the chains and turn buckles on, make them tight. I usually drive about 5 miles maybe 10, go get gas, and give all the chains a shake to make sure they’re still tight. If not, spin the turnbuckles a time or Two. And off, I go. I am extremely happy with this investment. Of all the things I bought after buying the camper, this has brought me the most security and feeling of safety. Good luck, happy camping whatever you decide.

Everything arrived without damage and all parts/pieces were there. It fit my 2024 RAM 3500 perfectly. I will note that installing the bolts was a challenge as it would take a small hand to fit in place. I ended up using a magnetic retrieval tool to place them. Also on the fuel tank side it was a very close fit. I did do all the work on the ground and breaking the rear spring shackle bolts loose took a 24" bar and a floor jack on the passenger side. On the driver side I had to use a section of pipe on the ratchet. But overall they were installed in about 2.5 hours. Picked up our new us truck camper last weekend and it was easy to secure and little to no movement during travel. 3646593

The parts fit as they should and work as designed. The main challenge for installing is in the loosening of the leaf spring bolts. With out an impact wrench or access to a touch and a long breaker bar it would be next to impossible for an average person to install. 3236611

The units appeared to be well made and were nicely painted. I installed them on my F150. The tools and hardware supplied were of good quality and installation was straight forward. Two people would have been great, but I was able to install both sides in a little less than an hour. The holes all line up very well. I like these better than the previous units I had on my 2013, as they do not stick out as far - so less noticeable. The extension arms come out at a very nice angle just under the body. I find these units with quality I expected and I think they will be highly functional in attaching my camper. 1554664
This is a very superior product. It was easy to install and is very functional and looks great. I highly recommend this product. Very well made and designed.
