These custom frame-mounted tie-downs keep your camper steady mile after mile. By securing directly to the truck’s frame—the strongest part of the vehicle—they spread the camper’s weight evenly and lower the center of gravity. That means a smoother ride without sway, even in high winds or when the road gets rough. The solid frame connection keeps your truck handling naturally so long drives stay comfortable and controlled.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the custom fit that uses pre-existing holes in the frame. There’s little to no drilling and no need for modifications. Once bolted up tight, the tie-downs maintain ground clearance so you don’t have to worry about dragging them on uneven terrain. The package comes complete with two front tie-downs, two rear tie-downs, and all mounting hardware so you can get them installed and ready to go.
When the trip’s over, just pull the removable arms and the brackets nearly disappear under the truck. The setup stays tucked out of sight and doesn’t affect your truck’s looks or function when you’re driving without the camper attached. It’s a slick design that keeps things clean and uncluttered until you’re ready to load up again.

Each tie-down is made from heavy-duty steel with a high-impact powder coat finish that stands up to road debris, rain, and salt exposure. The durable coating adds an extra layer of protection against rust so you can count on these mounts to last through years of use and long runs in all kinds of weather.
When it’s time to secure your camper, the adjustable arms extend out from the body so your turnbuckles line up without hitting fenders or sidewalls. Each arm has two pin holes for reach adjustment and two anchor holes to fine-tune your tension angles. Pair these with turnbuckles (sold separately) for a solid hold that keeps your camper locked in place from every direction.

Hello everybody, Clayton here at etrailer.com. Here at etrailer.com we install, test, and review a lot of different products, to help you as the customer, make a more educated decision before your purchase. Today we're going to be working on a 2021 Ford F-450. We're going to be taking a look at, I'll be showing you how to install Torklift's rear-mounted camper tie downs. Our rear camper tie downs are going to be custom fit to work with the SuperHitch. Whether that be the SuperHitch Hero, Original, or Magnum.
Now, having our camper tie downs is going to be essential when we're using an in-bed camper. Now you do want to keep in mind this does have to be paired with front tie downs. And you can find ones that work for your F-450 here at etrailer.com. Our camper tie downs are going to allow us to securely tighten down our camper. That way there's no movement in our bed.
Now our camper tie down bracket mounts right to our SuperHitch, and then extends out here to our arm. One cool feature is there is two different settings. So all we have to do is remove our pin, kind of slide our arm out, and then reinstall our pin. So no matter where your camper falls, in relation to the body of your truck, you can make sure it's tightened down securely. Our camper tie downs are going to be constructed out of steel.
So they're going to hold up really good for a long time. You're not going to have to worry about them bending or breaking on you. They really have a nice black powder coat finish on them, as well. And it's just going to help resist rust and corrosion. So it's going to look nice and work well, since it's constructed out of steel.
And personally my favorite feature, is going to be, whenever we're not using our camper, we can simply remove our pin and slide this out. Now what we're going to see is this tube, so we're not going to have to worry about anything hanging off the back, and it's going to stay nice and tight up to our hitch and our bumper. And then just to get you some measurements to help you understand where the tie downs are going to sit on your truck. Our measurement from the ground to the bottom of our camper tie down is going to be about twenty and a half inches. You just want to keep that number in mind for ground clearance. And then in our closer setting here, we are going to be looking at about six and half inches, between our bumper and our camper tie down. And in our outward setting, we're going to be looking at a bout 10 and a half inches from the bumper to the outside of the camper tie down. So not only our camper tie downs going to look nice on the back of our truck, they're also going to install pretty easily. What we're going to be doing, is removing a couple bolts from our hitch, sliding it in, and re-bolting it back up. It's definitely a no-drill application. With that being said, I'll go ahead and walk you through how to get it installed now. To start our installation you want to make sure that you have your SuperHitch installed. And in this case we do. We're just going to be removing these two front bolts here. We're going to use a 19 millimeter socket. Now we just want to grab our new hardware. I'm just going to slide that threw the holes in our hitch and through our side plates. Just like so. And I'm going to grab our bracket. We're just going to slide it into the hole in our hitch, with this bracket, or this tab I should say, facing towards the front. Just going to slide in pretty easily like this. Just want to push that onto our hardware. We can now reinstall our split lock washer and our hex nut. Now we just want to come back on the 19 millimeter socket, and snug them down. Now we want to come back and torque them down to the amount specified in our instructions. We can now repeat this same process on the driver side. We now want to grab our tie down arm and just slide that into our main bracket and then add our retaining pin. With everything tightened and torqued down, we're now ready to load up our camper and hit the road. That's going to do it for our look at and the installation of the rear Torklift camper tie downs on our 2021 Ford F-450..

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.

Installed the Tie Downs while in my driveway. Used three quality drill bits, but the installation was fairly easy and they work great!
