Features to know about

Secure Your Camper the Right Way: Frame-Mounted Strength

These custom frame-mounted tie-downs give your camper a solid, stable hold so it stays secure mile after mile. By attaching directly to the truck’s frame—the strongest part of the vehicle—they spread the camper’s weight evenly and lower its center of gravity. That keeps your setup steady during crosswinds and rough stretches of road, helping your truck handle just like it does without the camper.

Install Without Drilling: Custom-Fit Mounts

These tie-downs bolt onto your frame using pre-existing holes, so there’s little to no drilling and no need for cutting or modifications. The fit is completely custom, which means the brackets mount tight to the frame with minimal loss of ground clearance. The design makes installation straightforward and keeps your truck’s structure intact.

Keep a Clean Look When You’re Not Hauling

When the camper’s off, you can remove the tie-down arms and leave only the low-profile receiver brackets tucked under the truck. The brackets sit nearly flush with the underside, so they’re barely noticeable and won’t ruin your truck’s clean lines.

Built for Years of Travel: Powder-Coated Steel

Made of durable steel with a high-impact powder coat finish, these tie-downs are built to handle long hauls and harsh weather. The coating adds an extra layer of protection against chips and corrosion, so the gear stays strong trip after trip.

Fine-Tune Your Setup: Adjustable Anchor Points

Each rear and front tie-down arm includes two pin holes to adjust how far it extends from the truck body. This gives you clearance for fenders or sidewalls and lets you angle your turnbuckles for a snug, balanced hold. Once tightened to the correct tension, your camper stays exactly where it belongs.

Video Transcript for Why Dan Chose the TorkLift Tie Downs - Neighbor Review

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here from etrailer, and I'm with Dan. And Dan recently had his new truck in. He got airbags installed. And you also have an in-bed camper, probably why you have the airbags. Yes.

And so you've towed with an in-bed camper before with a previous truck, correct Yep. I have a 1996 GMC diesel. And I've carried this all over the place, up through the Smoky Mountains, and had a really good time with it. Had a blast. I got a 2000 model Lance Camper, and it's put on a 2025 Chevy 3,500.

I needed to upgrade from a 2,500 to a 3,500. So this thing will carry around. So on your previous Dually that you had, you didn't have the TorkLift tie downs I did not. I had them mounted onto the bumper to tie down to, and also at the beginning of the bed. Now with this, it's all custom fit.

And you went with the aluminum versions, right Yes, I went with the aluminum, because the aluminum, they're pretty sturdy, and I didn't want the metal to rust if I ever take this thing out in the snow and salt and everything. Are there advantages to the TorkLift over kind of the old style that you had it hooked up When I take the TorkLifts out, I can put 'em away and you won't even see that they're attached to the truck. I like to tuck things farther away so I don't bang my leg. Yeah, and you can kind of go back, you can pull those out, and it goes back to that OEM clean look. You have no idea they're even there until you're ready to hook up.

Right. So anything that you would recommend for anyone that has an in bed camper Any, you know, tips, tricks, for in-bed camper driving that you have, you know, over your years I got the tie downs here. I did install these, put 'em in there. And I extended the rods by using all thread rods. Make sure you get the good all thread rods, 'cause some of 'em we inchesre kinda loose when you put 'em in there. And then, yeah. I mean, they are really, really handy. My '96, when I'm driving down the road, it would sway back and forth. And with the Silverado 3,500, I got the airbags in there and the wiring all set up. And it just doesn't move or nothing. It just runs right on down the road. And with the diesel 10 speed transmission, shoot, I just, it just goes. Brad Yeah. Dan It's like it's not even back there. Yeah, and with tying these down, you know, a lot of times people wonder how does it stay in place. And especially, you know, if you're going to kind of mountainous areas or whatever and you're getting ups and downs or hitting bumps, it does have that potential to move. But that's why you have turn buckles. You crank those down, it's gonna keep it all in place. But the big thing is, you know, having a good attachment point. So did you ever have clearance issues with your other one when you hooked it up As far as where the turn buckle's attached, did you have any issues making contact The only issue I would have is if I hooked it on here wrong. Like if I came from the other direction, or this way, I'd have to try to swing it over. Better to unhook the bottom before you unhook the top. Yeah. If you haven't looked at the TorkLift mounting points, these are great. They are custom fit to your vehicle. So it's crucial that you use our fit guide to get the proper trim and model of your truck. Because they're, you know, these aren't gonna work on a Ford. You'd have to get the Ford-specific. But that's what makes these great. They're perfectly set up, you know, as he was saying is once they're out, it goes back to a clean OEM look. They sit proper, they're designed for this, and TorkLift really covers all of the connecting parts to be able to get your in-bed camper to work with your truck. So Dan, thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Great talking to you. You're welcome. Excited to get the brush guard on here and get you out on the road and enjoying it. I need to do some camping. (laughs) That's right, yeah. Hey, summer's coming. Have a good time. Thank you. Thank you very much, appreciate it.

Second set of Torklift camper tiedown brackets I have purchased. 1999 Dodge 2500 and 2016 Ram 3500. Fit good. No drilling. I would buy again. Good product. (I am a certified ASME, AWS, API, welder and fabricator). No hype, just fact.

The camper tie downs are still working great.

by:

I would say that the Torklift kit fit my 2024 GMC sierra pro crew cab perfectly the shipping to Canada took 5 days which I thought was fast delivery and it shipped the same day it was ordered

by:

Ordered for 2025 GMC 3500HD to carry our Arctic Fox slide in camper. Kits were shipped right away and arrived in Anchorage in 5 days (as ordered). The tie downs are excellent quality, all hardware arrived with the kit, instructions were "OK", installation on rear tie downs a little tricky, but managed to do ourselves. Looking forward to some great camping adventures. Thanks for the GREAT service!

Not a good experience so far. Torklift product was defective and they sent the wrong size bolt fish wires. Took 3x as long to install as should have due to wrong size fish wires. Torklift is not very responsive on the solution to the defective part. Torklift did not drill one of the holes in the tie downs

We had a hiccup with my order and it was lost in cyberspace for a day until I called and was able to get it going. Unfortunately, I needed them by Saturday and I ordered them Wednesday. They didn't ship until Thursday afternoon and didn't arrive until Monday. The seller of the camper was kind enough to hold the camper for me, but it was touch and go there for a while.
Installing them was a challenging because the pictures in the guide were difficult to see which slowed the installation down a little. It took 2 of us about 3 hours to install them. Now that they are on the truck with the camper they seem to be working great! The only problem remaining is the front tie downs use a bolt to hold the tie down to the frame and it obstructs the passage, so it will only advance as far as the first pin making the second hole unreachable (it sticks out from the truck a few extra inches and makes the extension wobble up and down until the turnbuckle was installed).

by:

great fit, works great, strong parts, works perfect! etrailer was excellent in making sure I received the correct parts. I highly recommend etrailer, if in doubt, call them, don't try and wing it, they will set you up with the correct parts! I will use etrailer again!

by:

This kit is a solid support system, very beefy. The tie down points on your camper will get ripped out before this would fail.

by:

Love it!! Works great!!

by:

These things are heavy duty. Straightforward installation, just follow the instructions and videos. Fit like a glove and are rock solid. Thanks etrailer for fast shipping and Torklift for great products.

by:

Fit perfectly on my 96 Dodge Ram 2500. I recommend this product.

by:

Absolutely the only way to correctly attach your truck camper. Pair these white Fastguns and it’s a great combo. I just went on a 5000 mile trip with my TC and never moved an inch.

by:

Great product! Fits perfect to the frame and very good quality materials. Even fit perfectly with my rock sliders.

by:

I did a lot of research to find the right kind of frame mounts for my dads truck. Lots of local RV places didn't even know what I was looking for, or quoted me for the wrong parts. After I was certain I found the right tie downs, I contacted etrailer customer service chat representative and they were a great help at confirming the parts I found would in fact fit my dads truck. My husband and dad installed them in less than 2 hours. The parts came quickly and in excellent packaging/condition.

by:

Product arrived quickly and install was simple with supplied parts, instructions and tools.

by:

I ordered this kit for my 2018 Ford F150 'Heavy Half' regular cab, long bed pickup. The tie downs came with all the necessary hardware, good instructions, were easy to install with basic tools, and required no drilling. Shipping was very fast. I would absolutely recommend TorkLift tie downs and etrailer.com.

by:

They seem stout and were easy enough to install. I added my own 2” square rubber caps to the ends to keep road debris out when they’re not in use, those should be included. For $850 the packaging could use some work. They arrived all banged up, the “high impact powder coat” is worn off in several areas leaving bare steel exposed.

by:

This is the only way the tie downs fit is this a safe way to strap it down

by:

After selling previous truck camper and getting a new truck these tie downs are outstanding. The direct fit for year make model is awesome. Takes the guess work out installation. The install instructions were really good as well as etrailers videos. etrailer is the great providing product install walk thru. The adjustability of these tie downs made my life easier when I picked up my new TLRV 8 foot truck camper.

Arrived in two day in great shape, and fit like a glove
2004 GMC 2500HD

by:

Great quality perfect fit for my 2003 C hevy

by:

Really happy with these. They fit well, and I (~240lbs) can jump on them and they don't budge, no question they'll easily hold my relatively light Northstar 850sc in place.

Two things to note, the powder coat is very subpar, a lot of scrapes and scuffs revealed bare metal simply from shipment. I know for a fact they'll have to be redone after a winter or two, fortunately it's what I do professionally so that's whatever.

Second thing, if you have a lift pump, you'll need to look into alternative mounting solutions. The front drivers side mount uses the same box bolt that your standard FASS/Airdog pump uses, and I had to reverse my mount around to grab the 2nd bed mount. No modification required fortunately, just be ready to do something similar.

  • Camper Tie-Downs, Steps, and Hitch for 2006 GMC Sierra 2500
Alright so I still don't know if you have no hitch, a factory hitch, or an aftermarket hitch. An extended hitch isn't really a thing but there are extenders that can be added to your existing hitch. I'll cover both possibilities just to be sure. If you have the factory hitch you need the TorkLift Tie Downs - Custom Frame Mount - Front and Rear # TL86FV. If you have an aftermarket hitch you need the TorkLift Tie Downs - Custom Frame Mount - Front and Rear # TL99NR. You will also need turnbuckles...

  • TorkLift Tie-Down Fitment for a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 with OEM Hitch
Hey Jake, thanks for reaching out! You'll actually want to keep the OEM hitch on your 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 to install some TorkLift tie-downs as there aren't any TorkLift tie-downs that fit with the SuperHitch Original # TLC1204. For your OEM hitch you can use the Standard # TL86FV or Aluminum # TL97VV. Are you needing the dual receiver from the SuperHitch Original for accessories behind your truck?
