When you’re hauling a camper, stability is everything. These custom frame-mounted tie-downs attach directly to the strongest part of your truck—the frame—so your camper stays put mile after mile. By distributing the load along the entire frame, they lower the center of gravity and eliminate sway or shifting even in strong crosswinds. The result is a stable, confident ride that feels just like driving without a camper on your back.
The tie-downs bolt right into pre-existing holes in your frame with little to no drilling required. Because they’re custom-fit, there’s no guesswork or need for modifications. The design mounts tight to the frame for minimal loss of ground clearance, so you don’t have to worry about dragging hardware when driving over uneven terrain.
Nobody wants gear hanging off their truck when it’s not in use. These tie-downs come with removable arms that slide out when you’re done hauling. Once removed, the brackets sit tucked under the truck and are barely noticeable. You keep all the convenience of a permanent mount without sacrificing your truck’s clean lines.

Made from durable steel and finished with a high-impact powder coat, these tie-downs are ready for long hauls and rough weather. The protective coating keeps corrosion and road wear at bay, ensuring strength trip after trip. Every bracket and bolt is built to hold up under real-world conditions so you can focus on the drive instead of the hardware.
Each arm includes two pin holes so you can extend them just far enough to clear sidewalls or fenders and align with your camper’s turnbuckles. Two anchor holes on each plate let you fine-tune your setup for better tension and balance. Once tightened with turnbuckles (sold separately), your camper stays locked down from multiple angles and ready for the road ahead.

Today on our 2014 Chevy Silverado 3500, we'll be installing the TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs for the rear of the vehicle, part #TLC3212. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead and locate the two pre-drilled holes in the bottom of the Lee Spring bracket. The other two attachment points will be here in the side of the frame, re-utilizing the manufacturer's bolts. To being our install, we'll first go ahead and put our hardware in place for our lower attachment points. Using the bolt leader provided with our install kit, we'll go ahead and feed it through the attachment point and out the access hole in the inside of the frame. There, we'll install a bolt, serrated washer, and wedge block. Now let's go ahead and feed the bolt and hardware into the frame and pull it into position. Once we pull it down through the attachment point, we'll remove the bolt leader. You can also use the 7/16 bolt leader, part #80103-1. We'll go and take the new bolt leader, feed it through our second attachment point here at the outside of our coil spring bracket and feed it towards the outside access hole.
There we'll go ahead and install a serrated washer onto our 7/16ths bolt and thread the bolt into the bolt leader. As we put the bolt into the access hole, because of the length of the bolt, it will have to be angled as it goes through the attachment point. Once we work it into place and pull it through the attachment point, we'll go ahead and remove the bolt leader. Next, we'll remove the bottom bolt for our upper attachment point. The top bolt will simply get backed out far enough that we can slide the upper bracket into place. Be careful as you put your bracket into position not to push your lower hardware back up into the frame. Once in place, we'll go ahead and re-install the manufacturer's bolt and tighten both of them down finger tight. Then we'll move to our lower attachment points.
We'll attach a flat washer, split lock washer nut. Once we have all of the hardware in place, we'll go ahead and tighten it down and then torque to specifications as indicated in instructions. Now with the one side done, we'll go ahead and repeat the same process on the other side. Now we'll slide the camper tie-downs into the mounting tube and use the pin and clip to secure it. With both brackets installed and secured, we're now ready to hit the road. That will complete our install of the TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs for the rear, part #TLC3212 on our 2014 Chevy Silverado. .

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
