These tie-downs mount directly to the truck’s frame—the strongest part of the vehicle—so your camper stays solid and steady while you drive. By tying into the frame instead of the bed or bumper, the system spreads weight evenly and keeps the center of gravity low. That means less sway from crosswinds and a safer, more comfortable ride, even when traveling long distances or over rough terrain.
These tie-downs are designed for a perfect custom fit and attach using pre-existing holes in the frame. There’s little to no drilling needed and no cutting or modification required. Because they mount tight to the frame, you keep maximum ground clearance so you’re less likely to drag on uneven roads or driveways.
Durability matters when your gear sees road salt, bad weather, and heavy use. The tie-down arms are made of rustproof aluminum, and the receiver brackets are stainless steel with a high-impact powder coat finish for extra protection. This combination resists corrosion and keeps your setup strong trip after trip.
When you’re not hauling your camper, just remove the tie-down arms. The brackets stay tucked up under the vehicle, nearly invisible once the arms are off. You keep all the function when you need it and a clean look when you don’t.

Each arm includes two pin holes so you can adjust how far they extend from the truck and choose between two anchor holes for your turnbuckles (sold separately). That flexibility helps you line up the best angle for your camper anchors while keeping everything tight, stable, and clear of your truck’s bodywork.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at these TorkLift Talon custom frame-mounted aluminum rear camper tie-downs. These tie-downs are going to give you the attachment points at the rear of your truck bed for securing a bed-mounted camper. Now as I mentioned, these are custom made and so these will fit your 2019 to 2022 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty with the 6 3/4 foot bed with board or step underneath the truck bed and with a factory-installed hitch. And then the 2017 to 2022 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty with a 6 3/4 foot bed without board or step underneath the truck bed and with a factory installed hitch. And then finally, the 2017 to 2022 Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty eight-foot bed with or without the board or step underneath the truck bed and with the factory installed hitch. Now the frame-mounted design of these tie-downs are going to ensure excellent handling because securing your camper to your truck's base instead of its bed is going to better distribute the weight to keep your setup from being too top heavy.
These brackets are gonna fit tight to your truck frame so there will not be any loss of ground clearance. And these rustproof and lightweight aluminum alloy tie-down inserts are going to secure to the durable stainless steel receiver brackets. Now these inserts can be easily removed and I'm gonna give you an overhead look here so hopefully you can see it a little bit better. You just remove the included bail pins here, as you can see. And these are going to easily slide out of the receiver bracket.
And as I mentioned, these inserts are aluminum alloy so they're very lightweight, yet durable and it's not gonna be any trouble at all to get these out and maybe put 'em in the back of the cab of your truck. And then when you need 'em, you can just slide them back in. I did want to give you another closeup view here and show you that TorkLift provides what they call a finishing kit. You're going to get foam plugs to insert into the rear of the brackets and that's going to help keep out dirt and grime. Then you also have these vinyl caps that's going to give a nice finished look to the front of the receiver bracket and it's also going to keep it clean as well.
So as you can see, it's a tight fit. You gotta kinda work it on there a little bit. And so I've got it on and so it's going to keep it clean and give it a nice finished look. So that's a nice touch that these are included with this. And so I also wanted to point out we've got two different holes on our aluminum alloy inserts that those pins are gonna go through.
So if your camper is a bit wider, you would use the first hole on the insert to have the tie-down stick out a little bit farther, and then if your camper is a little bit narrower, you can move it into that second hole. So I'm gonna go ahead and put my insert back in, line up my holes here and then secure it with the bail pins and we are good to go. Now these tie-downs also feature a high impact powder coat finish and that's just going to add an extra layer of protection to the brackets. And I wanna give you another overhead view just so you can see everything that this comes with. You're going to get the two rear tie-down inserts, the frame brackets, the necessary hardware, and I just wanted you to have a good look at that to successfully install these. And then instruction manual to walk you through step-by-step through the installation process. And again, these vinyl caps and the foam blocks and again these are rear tie-downs, but if you are looking for front ones as well, just take a look at our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Insert the year, make and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will give you the appropriate front camper tie-downs that will work for your vehicle and that will pair nicely with these rear camper tie-downs. These are made here in the U.S.A and that's going to conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
