When you’re hauling a camper, you want it to feel like part of the truck—not something swaying behind you. These custom fit, frame-mounted tie-downs give you that solid, stable connection. By attaching directly to the frame, they keep the camper’s center of gravity low and evenly distribute weight across the bed. That means smoother handling on rough roads and less sway in crosswinds so your setup feels secure mile after mile.
These tie-downs bolt onto your truck’s frame using pre-existing holes for a true custom fit. There’s little to no drilling needed, and no cutting or modifications required. The result is a strong mount that stays tight to the frame with minimal loss of ground clearance. You get reliable performance without compromising the truck’s structure or appearance.
No one wants bulky hardware hanging off their truck when the camper’s off. Once you remove the tie-down arms, the brackets are tucked nearly flush with the underside, barely visible from the side. It keeps your truck looking stock and clean while still being ready for your next trip.
Durability matters when your gear lives outside year-round. The arms are made from rustproof aluminum and the receiver brackets from stainless steel, finished with a high-impact powder coat for extra protection. This combination stands up to rain, road salt, and long miles so you don’t have to worry about corrosion or weak spots.
Each arm features two pin holes so you can adjust how far they extend from the truck body. That gives your turnbuckles (sold separately) a clean line to the camper’s anchors without rubbing against the side of your truck. Two anchor holes on each plate let you fine-tune your angles for a secure hold that keeps your camper locked in tight from all directions.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at these TorkLift Talon Custom Frame-Mounted Aluminum Rear Camper Tie-Downs. These tie-downs provide attachment points at the rear of your truck bed for securing a bed-mounted camper. Now, these are custom fit tie-downs that are designed to fit different years and versions of the Ram, the Ford F-Series, the GMC Sierra, and the Chevrolet Silverado trucks. To confirm if these work for your vehicle, take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com, and input the year, make, and model of your truck, and our fit guide will let you know if these will work for your truck or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, the frame-mounted design, it's going to ensure excellent handling, because securing your camper to your truck's base instead of its bed better distributes weight to keep your setup from being too top heavy. The brackets fit tight to your truck's frame, so there's not gonna be any loss of ground clearance, and these rustproof and lightweight aluminum alloy tie-down inserts are gonna secure to these durable stainless steel receiver brackets.
Now, these inserts can be easily removed from the frame-mounted brackets with these included bail pins, and so, I'm just removing one of these pins here from this receiver bracket, and as you can see, they slide out very easily, and then when you remove the tie-down, the bracket itself is gonna be virtually undetectable. Again, this insert is aluminum, so it's very lightweight, you're gonna be able to easily remove these inserts and stow them in the rear of the bed of your truck when you don't need them. And what's nice about what you're receiving here is when you do remove the insert, this does include caps to put over the receiver bracket, so I'm just gonna kinda work this on here a little bit to show you what this is going to look like, and it takes a little bit of doing, I'm sure this cap will loosen up over time, so you can slide that on a little bit quicker, but as you can see, that gives your bracket a nice finished look when you have that insert out, and this is going to protect the inside of that bracket from dirt and debris and stuff that flies up from the road, so there's not gonna be any obstruction in there for when you wanna replace your insert. Now, these inserts have two different holes as you can see there, and the one that's farther out right here near the end can be used for campers that are wider, and if your camper is a little bit narrower, you can slide this in to the hole that's closer to the end that will be sticking out of this insert. So again, this is gonna be flexible for you, depending on the width of your camper.
So I'm gonna go ahead and put this back into place here, line it up here with the second hole, and replace my bail pin. Again, it's gonna be a very easy and very smooth operation. These both have a high-impact powder coat finish that's going to add an extra layer of protection to the brackets. And you're going to get everything that you see here on the table before me, you're going to get the two rear tie-down inserts, the frame brackets, the necessary hardware that you're going to need to successfully install this to your truck, and of course, instructions to walk you through the installation process, and again, these caps that you can put on the receiver brackets when your inserts are removed. So this is going to provide a very secure connection point for your turn buckles.
Really, it's a great quality, and I think it's going to last you a great while and provides you many years of service. I do wanna mention that these are made in the USA, and these do have a lifetime warranty. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
