Video Transcript for A Closer Look at the TorkLift Tie Downs-TL47ZV

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at these TorkLift Talon Custom Front Camper Tie-Downs. These tie-downs are gonna provide the attachment points at the front of your truck bed to secure your truck camper's turn buckles. You will need to purchase the rear tie-downs as well. Those are sold separately, but that way you'll have tie-downs at all four corners of your vehicle. These are a custom fit.

They are going to fit many different 2013 through 2018 RAM 2500 and 3500s, just depending on your bed length, the kind of hitch you have and those sort of things. So I would recommend you using our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. You'll select your year, make and model of your vehicle and then we'll help narrow that down to make sure that these will work for you or find a similar option that will work for your setup. So the way these attach to your truck, it's gonna be frame mounted. So it's going to sit tight to your truck frame.

So you're not gonna have to worry about losing any ground clearance. Being attached to the frame, it is going to ensure excellent handling by securing to the, by securing your camper to your truck's base. Instead of up on the bed, it is going to better distribute the weight of the camper. So it's going to be better secured and not as top heavy as it would be if you we're to secure it to the bed itself. The instructions are very detailed, it'll walk you through the process to get this mounted in place.

Very simple to follow. It is very, very easy to get this mounted onto your truck's frame. And then once it's there, you'll have the option, this portion will always be on the frame but you will be able to remove these aluminum tie-down inserts here. So these are going to be extremely lightweight. They are aluminum, so it doesn't weigh much at all.

And these will slide right into those receiver tubes there. You've got the included pins, so there are two different holes to accommodate different width campers. And so if you have a wider camper, you can use that farther out hole. Or if you have a more narrow camper, you can use that narrower one. Just slide it in, get aligned up with a hole there and pass that pin through, like so. So it is gonna be very easy to get those attached but then when you're not using your truck bed camper, you can easily slide those out, store them inside. They do include these rubber caps that you can put on here that will help to protect those receiver tubes from any dirt, debris, that sort of thing, getting in there. But these are ones who remain hidden underneath your truck. So unlike some other tie-down attachment points that are just kind of a tab in between your cab and your truck bed, it's kind of an unsightly look. These are going to be virtually unnoticeable. So you won't have to worry about them taking away from the look of your RAM. And then when you're ready to use them, just very easily slide those attachment points in like that. Both the aluminum tie-down insert and our stainless steel receiver brackets are going to have a corrosion resistant powder coat on them. So it's gonna help like give a nice long lasting life. So they'll hold up really well for us. Like I said, very convenient to just slide those in, and not have to worry about seeing it when we're not using it so that we still have that factory look to our RAM. These are made here in the USA.
