These custom frame-mounted tie-downs keep your camper locked down tight for a smooth, confident ride. By attaching directly to the truck’s frame—the strongest part of the vehicle—they spread the camper’s weight evenly and lower its center of gravity. That means no top-heavy feel, no sway in strong crosswinds, and no shifting or sliding as you drive. Your truck handles naturally, even with a heavy camper on board.
The tie-downs bolt right onto existing holes in the frame, so installation takes minimal effort and no cutting or drilling. Because they mount tight to the frame, ground clearance stays nearly the same, keeping you from dragging on rough roads or steep driveways. Each set includes front and rear tie-downs with all hardware for a clean, secure fit that feels like it belongs there.
Durability matters when your gear faces weather, vibration, and long-distance travel. The arms are made from rustproof aluminum while the receiver brackets use stainless steel, both finished with a high-impact powder coat for extra protection. These materials resist corrosion and wear so you can count on your setup season after season.
When you’re not hauling a camper, remove the tie-down arms and the brackets practically disappear under the truck. The low-profile design keeps everything tucked up and out of sight, so your truck looks clean and uncluttered until the next trip.

Each arm has two pin holes that let you adjust how far it extends from the body for perfect turnbuckle alignment. Two anchor holes in the attachment plate make it easy to find the best angle to hold your camper steady from multiple directions. It’s a simple way to fine-tune your tie-down setup for maximum stability every time you load up.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at these TorkLift Talon Aluminum Custom Frame Mounted Rear Camper Tie Downs. Now these are designed to fit your 2015 and newer Ford F-150. You do want to use our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com to confirm the fit with the bed size that you have and the hitch that you are using. So be sure to use our fit guide to confirm that these are gonna work for you or our fit guide will give you some other options that will work for you to, depending on your truck and the certain model or size of your vehicle. Now these tie downs are gonna provide attachment points at the rear of your truck bed for securing a bed mounted camper.
And these will pair with front tie downs which are sold separately. And again, you'll just use our fit guide to find what front tie downs will work for you. And the frame mounted design ensures excellent handling because securing your camper to your truck's base instead of its bed is gonna better distribute the weight to keep your setup from being too top heavy. The brackets are going to fit tight to the frame of your truck so there's not gonna be any loss of ground clearance. And these are gonna use pre-existing holes in the frame.
So there's gonna be little to no drilling required to install these. The rust proof and lightweight aluminum alloy tie down inserts are going to secure to these durable stainless steel receiver brackets and these inserts can be easily removed from the frame mounted brackets with the included bail pin. So let me give you a brief demonstration of that. So I'm just gonna go ahead and remove this pin here on this particular bracket and remove our insert. And so as you can see, these aluminum alloy inserts are going to be very lightweight, yet very durable.
And then when you remove that insert, you can see that this bracket's going to be virtually undetectable when you have that bracket, that insert rather removed. And I wanted to point out that these do include these finishing caps, they're vinyl and you can just put that over the receiver here and it's gonna be a nice tight fit, as you can see. So let me see if I can work that on there for you. And so that's going to make sure that you're not getting any junk, dirt, debris inside of that bracket. And that's going to keep it nice and clean for you.
And if you also notice, we do have these styrofoam plugs that can go in the rear of the bracket. So you'll just slide that plug all the way through to the back and that will keep from debris getting into the receiver bracket from the rear. So that's a nice addition to this set. And then I did want to show you that we do have two holes on these inserts. And as you can see, our first hole here, that's going to allow you to stick this insert out a little bit farther for your wider camper if your camper's a little bit on the wide side. And then we do have a second hole here. If your camper is a little bit narrower and you don't need that much clearance then you can slide that into that second hole and that's going to allow you to just slide it in in case your camper is not as wide. So this will fit on my table, I'm gonna use that narrower hole, that second hole, slide that into the bracket and replace my bail pin here. So these inserts, these aluminum inserts, they're very lightweight. It's not gonna be a problem at all to grab them and throw them like in the back of the cab of your truck. And then when you're ready to use them, you can put them into the brackets and they'll be ready to go. So, very durable, yet lightweight. And the inserts and the brackets have a high impact powder coat finish that's going to give you an extra layer of protection. And you're going to receive everything that you see here on the table before me. You're gonna get these two rear tie down inserts, the frame brackets, all of the necessary hardware to install and again the the finishing kit, the caps, and the plugs along with a set of instructions to walk you through the installation process. This kit is made here in the USA and they do have a lifetime warranty from TorkLift. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
