Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this Westin Fay Chrome Plated Steel Surestep Deluxe XLT Rear Bumper. Now, this replacement rear bumper is going to give you a sturdy step, so you can access the bed of your truck with ease. And this is also going to match the factory specifications to fit your truck styling, and it adds both utility and rugged good looks. Now, as you can see here, this bumper does feature a chrome plating that's going to add a brilliant shine and also help resist corrosion. And the cold rolled steel construction is indeed strong and sturdy.
This has a towing capacity of 8,000 pounds and a tongue weight capacity of 800 pounds. And, giving you a close up look here in the center, as you can see, we have these three integrated ball holes that's going to make towing easy. You're just going to add a hitch ball that will fit a one inch in diameter hole. And there are also these convenient safety chain cutouts on each side. Now, taking an overhead look, I wanted to just briefly point out the black textured step pad that's going to give you traction when you're getting into and out of your truck bed.
The molded polymer plastic construction is durable. It's also UV resistant. And this padding actually wraps around the entire corners for complete coverage. Going in for another closeup look here, this does include license plate lights that are going to wire into your running lights. And so, as you can see, these are just going to fit here, and then be secured by these brackets on the inside of this bumper.
So you have what you need here to wire those lights into place to shine on your license plate. It, obviously, is gonna go right here. And just some overall measurements to give you an idea of the size of this bumper. I measured this earlier before our time together, and the overall length from end to end, we're sitting right at 74 and half inches long. And then the overall height, we're sitting right at eight and a half inches tall.
And then the overall depth, we're sitting right at about six and a half inches deep. Now, installation does require a custom no-drill mounting kit, which can be found under the related product section on the lower half of this product page. All went well
Installed on my 1973 Ford F-250. The installation took about 20 minutes, incredibly easy. Overall the quality is good. For the price, I was expecting better quality. There were some blemishes in the black paint where the hitch balls go. I'll be touching up the paint when the weather gets warmer. But, I'm content and like the outward appearance. I have not yet wired in or installed the license plate lamps.
Received the product in about 2-3 days.
Good looking bumper. Installation was pretty straight forward. Customer service is excellent. Replacement tag lights for faulty lights that came with bumper arrived a day earlier than expected.
Bumper was received in excellent condition, well packaged and as described. Shipping was a fair price; especially to where I live. Installation was straightforward and the final product was beautiful. Really cleaned up my truck. In the middle of try to restore my old truck and the bumper really spruced up the old girl. Bumper box came damaged, plastic top step pad was damaged and mounting hardware was missing . E trailer made it right it took almost a year to get the top replacement step not e trailers fault just the way the world is now a days they made it right the bumper looks great

Installed this bumper a year ago - still looks new. Kit came complete with mount brackets, nuts, bolts, washers, and license plate lights.
Well made, strong and looks great BUT surprised to see the bare welds unpainted or primed on the back side.
To begain with we had problems with the Bumper and I didn't receive the installation kit with the Bumper. I contacted etrailer to let them know. They shipped out another and picked up the old one. The installation kit must have been lost so they had to ship out another one. All of the employee , did an outstanding job of getting me taken care of. Things happen with all business but how they take care of the customer is what really matters. And I must say etrailer did a great job, and have a great product. Thanks again etrailer and employee's
Great experience again with etrailer.com Bumper came well packaged exactly as described. Install instructions were clear for install kit (sold separately). Replaced OEM rear bumper in about an hour on a 1995 Ford F-150 standard 2wd. Chrome looks great making old truck look new. Bumper is heavy materials so having second hand helps installation.
Ordered this bumper and an integrated hitch from trailer. Could not be happier with the quality of both. The fit and finish is excellent. Truck is used infrequently but is so much nicer to have this set up than what I had before.
