Ahoy, neighbors, Steve, here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at our Lewmar Anchor Rode with Chain. It's an 8-plate rope and shackle, 210 feet long. That's right, folks, so this anchor rode is gonna be great for all Lewmar windlass gypsies. It's gonna provide durability and strength to help hold your boat steady. Now the chain itself is a hot dip, galvanized and welded construction, so you don't have to worry about it breaking easily or anything.

You're gonna get a nice shackle here, 1/4 inch shackle. You can simply twist off the end here of the rod, and then put that through your anchor, tighten it back up, and then you're good to go. You're gonna have 10 feet of chain, and then you're gonna have the 8-plate rope here that's gonna be already put onto the chain, and then melted in place so it's not gonna unravel on you. An impressive 200 feet length of rope. And the same thing, they've melted the end where it was cut, and then they've taped it up, one, so it's more visible for you and, two, so it does not unravel.

As you probably know, the plated rope will minimize the chance of hocking and kinking, and you can actually store more rope in your locker with this 8-plate rope than a three-stranded rope. It's also gonna help prevent unraveling, because the whipping is hand sewn as well. So, again, 200 foot of rope, 1/2 inch thick on the rope. The shackles here, the shackle here rather, is a 5/16 inch shackle. So, again, total length of everything here is gonna be about 210 feet, and the total weight of everything is about 29 pounds.
