Best Ford F-450 Super Duty Pintle Hitches

The ball/pintle mounting plate worked very well. I was surprised that it stuck out past the bumper so far on my 2008 Silverado 2500HD, but it was only about 4-5 inchest past where my ball usually sits with other hitches. I suppose it will work well as strong as it is to take care of anyone who choses to park to close to me in parking lots! :-)

This mounting plate is very heavy duty, and a tight fit on a 2.5" receiver - no rattling. it is made for 5/8" bolts, not the 1/2" bolts the average 6 ton pintle hitch uses, some washers may be needed for smaller pintle hitches.

This review is for all the products I have recently bought from e trailer. First of all, no one will ever steal this hitch from my truck. It weighs way too much. It is rock solid!! A3” square 30k hitch plate, and a 30k pintle hitch! Drop it on your toe and it’s an instant amputation!! I love it!! But of all, customer service is beyond belief. I can only dream of having customer in my business this good! The best!!

60k pintle hitch product is as described and expected - seems very 'beefy' and works as is should. Separately, I was very pleasantly surprised when Etrailers emailed me the day after my order was placed. They wanted to let me know that they were able to get my purchase shipped the same day it was ordered AND that they 'decided' to upgrade the standard shipping that I selected and paid for up to an enhanced priority 3-5 day shipping. I never write reviews, but this Convert-A-Ball hitch is absolutely AWESOME! What a hassle it used to be for me always switching between a pintle and 2" Ball. Heavy lifting. Figuring out where to leave the removed hitch, which I usually just left on the ground next to where I park my truck (even in winter). I generally swap out the hitch every day to go between different trailers and this has been a LIFESAVER as I get older. I almost bought one of the 'cool" brand hitches just to be 'cool', but I'm so HAPPY I happened across this hitch when looking to purchase. I tell everyone in my business about this hitch!

My father has one of these and I liked how simple it converted from a pintle to a ball hitch so I decided to purchase one for myself. I found the same hitch on etrailer.com. I ordered and received the hitch just before a hunting trip. The shipping was fast. The hitch arrived all in one piece and worked flawlessly.

The hitch is made from heavy duty steel. And is a excellent match with the owl equipment trailer for hauling out tractor That has weight of 8000 pounds.

This is what I needed to match the height of the trailer. The packaging could have bee better because the hitch broke through the box.

Working great I use the fixed straight hitch when I need a little more hitch height or the adjustable hitch depending on which application works better.

So far so good, some signs of wear but thats to be expected considering we are pulling close to GCVW. All and all its been working well.

The Curt 20K Pintle hook for my 2" receiver looks and functions wonderfully. Very good finish on the product.

I have only used this hitch a few times, having recently purchased it. I like to see reviews after a product has seen some use. Pintle hitches are a simple mechanism, this one seems to be beefy and well made. There is a little lip at the top of the hook you can see in the listing photo if you look and already know it's there, If things are tight this is enough to catch on the loop when you are trying to unhook. If you are jacking up an already heavy trailer, this is a 30K lb hook, and can't get free of the truck it can be frustrating.

Working great on my prefabricated hitch.

Very heavy, solid steel. Really made for if you have a jacked 4x4 truck and need to lower the hitch . Runs low on a standard suspension rear wheel drive truck. Turned it up to not drag the ground.

As described, but no information on the hole diameter on the website, so the Curt pintle mounting bolts don't fit without drilling.

Use this with a curt 16k combination ball/pintle hitch and am very satisfied so far. No drama purchase via Etrailer, and when the torque spec for the hitch — inexplicably — wasn’t included in the literature a call to their friendly team fixed this issue.

mounting plante has worked perfectly. it is the only one that i could find that was rated for the weight when mounted upright or down when using a 2" reciever. shows no signs of fatigue after a year of towing a 3500lb trailer with a 13,000lb escavator several times a week. very satisfied with purchase

Bought this for my 2014 Jeep Rubicon to tow an M416 military trailer. The hitch gave me the exact platform I needed to clear the spare tire (with 1" of vertical space to spare) . . . and keep my trailer level. Also added the Curt Pintle Hook - Bolt On - 10,000 lbs - C48205 and again, the hitch allows the top of the pintle (when closed) to clear the tire. Both items I bought came expertly packaged in a stout box, quickly and with free shipping. etrailer rocked it!

The pintle is great product you can use it on many different trailers . The solid hitch is great as well This hitch is great when the wire are not as long . I can 't complain they are great and are rated for 16000 pounds.
