Today we're going to be taking a look at part number 45156. This is the Titan pintle hook mount plate for two and a half inch by two and a half inch trailer hitches. The hitch mounted pintle hook plate is going to allow you to mount your pintle for heavy duty towing. The plates going to offer three sets of holes with a six hole design total, that way you can easily match your trailer's ride height. It's going to feature the two and a half inch by two and a half inch square, hollow steel shank. This can be used in either the drop position, which is this position here, or it can be used in the ride position, either one to best fit your particular towing application. We're going to take a measurement of the shank length, that's simply measuring from the center of the hitch pin hole to the front of the mounting plate.
We do that measurement, we're going to see that that comes to right around seven and seven-eighths of an inch. The mounting plate itself is going to give us a measurement going this direction of five inches and then going this direction it's going to give us a measurement of about six inches. The thickness of that plate is going to measure five-eighths of an inch. Now this portion right here is going to be the portion that slides into the opening of your hitch. You're going to slide it all the way in until you get your pin holes to line up with one another. Now your hitch pin and clip or hitch pin lock is going to be sold separately, but the diameter of this pin hole is going to measure five-eighths of an inch.
If you need a hitch pin and clip or a hitch pin and lock, you can find those right here at etrailer.com. This unit is going to offer a gross weight capacity of twelve thousand pounds with a maximum tow weight capacity of twelve hundred pounds. Here at the front our mounting holes are going to be separated center on center going this direction. That's going to measure three and three-eighths of an inch. Up and down they're going to be separated by one and three-quarters of an inch. The mount hole diameters are going to measure seventeen-thirty seconds of an inch.
A few more measurements to go over with you real quick, the distance that we have from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the shank. That's going to give us a measurement of about four and three-quarters of an inch. When using this in the rise position you want to make sure you have enough clearance from the outermost part of your vehicle to the support bar right here, so we can kind of gauge that by taking a measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to base of that weld. If we do that, we're going to see that that's going to give us a measurement of . It looks to be about four seven-sixteenths of an inch here at the top. Measuring to the back of that mounting plate to the center of the hitch pin hole, that's going to give us a measurement of about seven and one-eighths of an inch.
Overall length very front to very back that's going to give us a measurement that looks to be about twelve and five-eighths of an inch. That's going to do it for today's review of part number 45156. This is the Titan pintle hook mount plate for two and a half inch by two and a half inch trailer hitches.

Well built, sturdy and fit exactly as e xpected.
Great product, great company!
Fits great on a 2013 GMC 2500 HD. Does not stick out too far and is tucked up to the bumper nicely. Prevents being too much of a knee knocker.
