Video Transcript for Let’s Check Out the Pintle Hook, Bolt-On, 60K

Today we'll be reviewing part number 63016. This is the pintle hook from Tow Ready. This pintle hook can be bolted to a pintle hitch mount or directly to a reinforced utility truck bumper. It's going to give us a gross towing weight of 60,000 pounds with a maximum tongue weight of 6,000 pounds. All the mounting hardware that you need is included. It's made from a steel construction with a powder coat finish so it's going to stand up well against rust and corrosion. If we take a look at the mount holes here on the backside, they're going to give us a diameter of 17/32nds of a inch.

Measuring center on center this way it's going to measure 3 3/8ths of an inch, center on center up and down it's going to measure 1 3/4 of an inch. To gain access to make the connection, all we have to do is remove the pin, just pull that out, then we just have to lift up on the T-handle and push back on the pintle hook. Now we can attach it to our Lunette ring. Once we have it in place we just shut it over the top of the ring and then all we have to do is reinsert the pin. It's nice because it's attached with a chain so it's always going to stay close at hand, we don't have to worry about losing it. It's a really simple installation for our demonstration today I'm just going to show you how you would install it onto a pintle hitch mount. All you would have to do is line up your holes, then place through the bolts, then simply on the back side you would just place on your lock washer and secure it by installing the nut and tightening everything down.
