Swagman Truck Bed Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Fork Mount - 9-mm Skewer
Used this bike rack for the first time this past weekend and it worked perfectly. I drove down a fairly bumpy dirt road and it held true to the truck bed and held the bikes steady. etrailer had a great price and shipped it quickly. I would highly recommend it rather than spending more than twice as much for a similar rack. I didn't expect to find a bike rack like this for this price. Assembly, installation and operation are all very easy.
Work really good. Easy install, reliable. However I would not recommend this product due to part(s) availablity. I needed to replace the lock, keys stolen out of truck, and they were not available to order.

Softride Shuttle Pad Tailgate Pad for Full-Size Trucks - Up to 6 Bikes - 61" Wide
Fit great. can wait to tested in my next trip. came little late, but hope will work for us.
The product review/installation video helped me make my selection. I selected the full size pad for 2001 Silverado 1500. Installs easily, fits nicely, flap in pad is positioned for easy access to tailgate latch.

Inno Velo Gripper Bike Rack for Truck Beds - Clamp On
I’m a senior and was searching for ways to transport our ebikes without having to lift them. Fortunately I found the Inno Velo Gripper Bike Rack for Truck Beds and installed them on my utility tilt trailer. They work great, were easy to install and no lifting onto a car mounted bike rack needed.

Hollywood Racks Truck Bed Bike Carrier - Fork Mount - Bolt On
These racks were just as advertised. I mounted them on a 2x4 and then clamped that into the front of my bed. They worked great. The thing about these racks is that they are so versatile. They could be used in any number of ways. You just have to give it some thought. And whatever you come up with, you haven't spent a fortune either.
The Hollywood Racks Truck Bed Bike Carrier - Fork Mount - Bolt On, is just what I was looking for to be able to build a bike rack for carrying one of my bikes on my motorcycle. It was easy to mount and it holds my bike in place while riding on bumpy dirt roads, city streets, highways and even when I hit some twisty country roads. It's really easy to load and unload my bike when I get to where I want to ride. I use a velcro strap around the quick-release and the fork arm as an added safety as well as a couple tie-downs from my bike handlebars to my motorcycle passenger pegs to help distribute the weight on my rack. If you want to build your own DIY bike rack I totally recommend the Hollywood Racks Truck Bed Bike Carrier - Fork Mount - Bolt On.

Thule Insta-Gater Pro Truck Bed Bike Rack - 1 Bike
Linda and I recently ordered two Aventon Pace 500 NextGen E-bikes from [bike store] in Madison, WI. Not wanting to just toss our expensive new bikes in the back of the p/u when they arrive next month we promptly ordered the Thule Instagator from etrailer. My prior experience with etrailer came as a recommendation from a friend. I was able to do quite a bit of the research on etrailers website, the demonstration video extremely helpful and we placed an order. The racks were in-stock, shipped promptly, etrailer providing a very nice tracking link that included pics of the staff involved in processing the order and a map of the route all the way to delivery. Absolutely 1st rate service. The racks showed up in perfect condition about two days after placing the order, exactly as promised. We are very pleased with etrailer, will most certainly be ordering from them again and recommend this company w/o reservation. Nice job etrailer!
Installed in my Ford Ranger. With the dealer installed drop in bed liner on my truck, my bikes are too long to mount the front tire in the rack as I have less than 60 inches by a couple. So I mount with rear tire and the front tire at an angle in the front corner of the truck bed. Loading is a little awkward. I can’t secure the carriers (I have two) by closing the tail gate as my E-bikes are too heavy at about 50 lbs. each to lift over the closed tailgate. So I have to mount them with the tailgate open, then position the racks where I can close the tail gate with a good fit and then ratchet up the slack of the holding straps. With the bricks mounted this way the security chain built into the carrier is not long enough to go around the main part of the frame in fron of the seat. It has to go on/over the rear part of the frame. With the short trips I’ve taken so far the bikes seem reasonably secure. There is some sway from the front tires, but on long trips I will probably secure some how with a strap. Unloading is also not the easiest, mainly due to the weight of the bikes. Two people makes it much easier. Finally, the carriers could be easily stolen by simply pulling out the ratchet straps or cutting them. Recommend a security chain lock be attached to the carrier and also maybe the bike.

Thule GateMate Pro Tailgate Pad for Full-Size Trucks - Up to 7 Bikes - 53" Wide
I only gave this 3 stars because the straps that fasten the bike to the pad is to long to use on a tube for a normal road bike. The straps are 16 inches long and it wraps around my bikes twice leaving no room to fasten the strap together. I thought this seemed strange so I called etrailer customer service which gave me Thule service number and they seem to understand the issue but had the only solution of using a zip tie. It seems the straps work for a Mountain bike but not for smaller tubed bikes. Just keep this in mind when ordering. I also think you will need to secure the back of the bike if you are only hauling 1 or 2 so the not flop around.
It has 7 different areas to strap bicycles down but there is definitely not room to strap 7 bikes down from what I can tell. The straps were a little tricky to feed under the tailgate and pull up at the same time with only one person. Overall it works pretty well but it appears to only have enough room for 4 MTN bikes.

Swagman Patrol Truck Bed Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Fork Mount - 9-mm Skewer and 15-mm Thru-Axle
The quality of the rack is fantastic. Sadly the keys do not work on the Locking Quick Release Skewers. I've contacted Swagman about this and am waiting for a response.
Excellent Customer service and help for this product. Thank you Carol and Neil your the best.

Kuat Dirtbag Bike Rack - Fork Mount - Bolt On - 15 mm Thru-Axle Skewer
The product was great. but the service was even greater! 2 days (and a 4th of July holiday) before transporting my expensive bikes in the bed of my truck, I realized my homemade rig wasn't going to cut it. Panic! I got online with etrailer and found a part I wanted at 7PM, but needed overnight delivery. Whew, I got the order in. But, oh wait - I get an email 10 minutes later that the part I asked for was backordered. Panic ^2. But the email from eTrailer said call us NOW and we have a possible solution. Yeah, right. So I call, and - they did! Talked to real humans and they set me up with a substitute part that did the job and I had it on my truck next day. Totally awesome. Real people rock. Thanks to eTrailer, I had my bikes with me in Idaho and Oregon and Washington where I had to play my music gigs. Love you guys, and thanks for being real people!
Cheap alternative compared to having to buy a 9mm thru axle mount for the utili-track in my Nissan Frontier AND THEN having to buy an adapter for that! For under $10 I bought some parts from a local hardware store and made this mount fit the track. It's sturdy, and high quality.

Yakima Locking BlockHead Single Bike Truck Bed Mounted Rack - Bolt-on - 9-mm Skewer
Bought this product one year ago, and I absolutely love it! I bolted it to my pickup box. It is in brand new condition after a year in our harsh coastal weather. It is a breeze to operate. And the locking system secures my bike so well that I have piece of mind if I have to leave my bike unattended. I highly recommend this product! Fast shipping, very reasonable price.
I thought you guys might want to see the way I am using the Yakima bike racks.

Inno Velo Gripper Bike Rack for Truck Beds - C-Channel Mount
Easy to set-up, adjust & use. Keeps the bikes secure and upright even on rough 4WD roads. I pull a camp trailer often, so couldn't use a hitch rack, but these are better anyhow because I can keep an eye on my bikes while on the road, plus, they don't stress the frame from a weird angle, the way some racks do. These were definitely worth the money. Very satisfied.
I love this bike rack…I use it for my Mokwheel Basalt…that’s 82 pounds of E-bike…holds like a champ…I adapted it to work with the track rack I installed on my truck…fantastic

Swagman Tailwhip Tailgate Pad for Mid-Size Trucks - Up to 4 Bikes - 54" Wide
No difficulty putting the pad on my Tacoma tailgate by myself. I have an E-bike with a larger than normal down tube but the straps on the pad were sufficient in length to get around the tube and firmly affix the bike to the pad. 1st transport was about 25 hwy. miles and all went well. Good access to tailgate handle and back up camera if needed.. Satisfied with the purchase.
Very satisfied with this product! It is plug & play out of the box, it takes 1-2 minutes to install, and it fit my Honda tailgate like a glove. The cover is lightweight yet fully protects my trucks finish. The Swagman is an excellent value.

Swagman Tailwhip Tailgate Pad for Full-Size Trucks - Up to 5 Bikes - 61" Wide
This product fits over the tailgate of our full size pick up. We bought this product because we wanted to take our bikes with us on our camping trips. We had a receiver bike rack but needed some way to carry our bikes securely while pulling our travel trailer. We also wanted to be able to carry our grandkids bikes. We have secured at least 5 bikes with the Swagman Tailwhip Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack. The only problem we had was that the velcro tie downs didn't fasten as tight as we would have liked. We have used additional bungie cords to keep the bikes in place. That is the reason this review did not get a 5 star. We are very happy with this product.
Product was delivered sooner than expected and is of good quality. Fits 2016 Tundra perfectly. Placement took less than 5 mins, and removal takes about 10 seconds. Mine came with a click strap on the flap where the handle/camera are, which is used to fold flap back over tailgate leaving the camera available for use but securing the flap on backside of tailgate. The video does not show that but to me is a great feature.

Kuat Dirtbag Bike Rack - Fork Mount - Bolt On - Boost 110 Thru-Axles
This is a great way to transport a bike. Just bolt the dirtbag to a surface and attach the fork. I have mine mounted in the back of our minivan and regularly transport my mountain bike inside the van. The dirtbag comes in sizes to fit most fork configurations. I have a through axle for my tandem bike, 100mm for my mountain bike, and now the 110mm for my 29+ mountain bike. They all have the same hole pattern so I just swap them out depending on which bike I am transporting.
Few retailers sell the 15mm x 110mm (Boost) thru-axle mount let alone stock it. etrailer had it and sold it for less the manufacturer. Their economy shipping got it to me (Missouri to San Diego) in under a week. I didn’t want to drill into my truck bed rails so I connected to an existing tie mount via an aluminum angle (see pics). Heavy duty steel construction. This mount will definitely outlast my bike. I’m pleased with the product and etrailer’s service.

Swagman Paramount Tailgate Pad for Full-Size Trucks - Up to 7 Bikes - 61" Wide
I've been using this for a couple of years now. I mainly use it when we go camping. It's been great for carrying the 4 bikes we have. The bikes never have shifted/moved while in transit. The tailgate pad is a little tricky to put on (I lay under the truck and fish the strap up to my son). I've installed the mat by myself but it's way easier with 2 people.
Really like this bike rack for my truck. Easy to put on. Handles the Mtb bikes well.

Kuat Dirtbag Phat 9 Fat Bike Rack - Fork Mount - Bolt On - 9 mm Quick-Release Skewer
Product looks great. Fits our Fat Tire ebikes great. But your template is for the smaller mount. No big deal but you should caution customers before they drill into anything.

The Claw Fork Mount Bike Rack for 1 Bike - 9-mm Skewer
Holds my bike securely in the back of my truck. Quick and easy to loosen or tighten. Recommend to anyone making their own bike rack.
These are very nice fork cleats, powdercoated steel and neatly welded. I did need to drill them to 3/8" mounting holes as my bed rail takes 3/8" hardware and these come with 5/16". Once that minor step was complete I was able to bolt them to my bed rail easily. I would recommend these over aluminum fork cleats to anyone putting together a custom bike rack.

Swagman Paramount Tailgate Pad for Mid-Size Trucks - Up to 5 Bikes - 54" Wide
Well made, but you need to do something about the 3 straps...and how you can push a wet noodle up through the gap. Gonna have to put a sting down, and attach it to each stap to pull them up.

Kuat Dirtbag Phat 15 Fat Bike Rack - Fork Mount - Bolt On - 15 mm x 150 mm Thru-Axle Skewer
It's been a great purchase -- the fork mount has worked out exactly as I hoped -- no fuss mounting of my Salsa Beargrease Fat Bike in the bed of my Ford Maverick pickup which has a flexed with slots made for a 2x6 to mount the bike. This is a high quality mount.
The Kuat bike fork mount works great! My bike attaches quickly and securely to the mount.

Yakima BlockHead Single Bike Truck Bed Mounted Rack - Bolt-on - 9-mm Skewer
Have used the block head bike mounts by Yakima on trips of 800 to 1500 miles with no incident. Easy to mount the bikes and they have not released even on bumpy roads. Great product for my truck box and bikes are always in view. Easiest way I have found to transport our bikes
With a little adaption the Yakima brackets mounted to my built in bed rails on my 2010 Nissan Frontier. With my truck cap this makes my bikes safe and secure, out of sight out of mind.
A Closer Look at the Kuat Huk Curved Tailgate Bike Pad on a 2025 Ram 1500
Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer. If you have a 2025 Ram 1500 and you wanna carry a lot of bikes from point A to point B, but you wanna use your bed to do that and you want something that's gonna look pretty nice and clean on the back of your vehicle, then the Kuat Huk Tailgate Pad is gonna be a great option for you. So let's check it out. The reason why I like tailgate pads on the back of trucks is 'cause it's gonna save you a whole lot of space back here. You don't have to deal with anything sticking out the back, taking up some room if you're in a tight garage like a hitch bike rack, and it's gonna free up your hitch if you wanna haul a trailer behind you and carry your bikes with you. You can really leave these on full time too if you really wanted to, since they're not taking up much space either.
A Closer Look at the Swagman Paramount Tailgate Pad on a 2025 Ram 1500
Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer. If you have a 2025 Ram 1500 and you're trying to carry a lot of standard bikes from point A to point B, then the Swagman Tailgate Pad is gonna be a great option for you. So let's check it out. So what makes a tailgate pad stand out is it's gonna give you more options, and this will make everything look pretty clean and pretty organized back here. And the reason is because if you plan on using your hitch for anything else like a trailer, you're still gonna have that ability, even with this tailgate pad back here. And what I like more about it than a standard hitch mounted bike rack is this takes up a whole lot less space as opposed to that.
A Closer Look at the Kuat Huk Half Tailgate Bike Pad on a 2025 Ram 1500
Hi, Matt with etrailer. If you have a 2025 Ram 1500, and you're just trying to take a couple extra bikes with you, but you want 'em to be pretty organized in the back of your bed because maybe you are using your hitch for something else, then the Kuat Huk half size tailgate pad is gonna be a great option for you. So let's check it out. So what I really like about a tailgate pad is, like I said, it doesn't take up a whole lot of space back here. 'cause if you had a hitch bike rack, one of the issues is it's gonna stick out a decent amount. So if you're in those really tight spots, it's gonna be pretty difficult to maneuver around and you hitch is gonna be taken up.
