Once again, Etrailer had just what I was looking for. This 6 inch lowering hitch allows my electric bike carrier to be lowered by 6 inches so that I do not have to lift so high to load the bikes. The extension also allows me to open the tailgate even with the bikes loaded.

Easy to install and works perfectly for our RV. Our Class C sits lower than our Jeep. This adapter puts us in the sweet spot for flat towing. Solid construction and I'm not worried about it at all.

Needed part to replace one I had run over. We were heading out on another RV trip in 2 weeks and the part was critical for that trip. I needed help figuring out which adapters I needed , after chatting and talking with Bay, she and the Sterling officials decided I needed the RM-031-5 adapters. Once again they were correct, they fit and work perfectly to hook up my older Sterling tow bar to my Jeep with a Blue-ox style base plate. Simple to install and absolutely needed to keep the tow bar within 3" of the hitch height. Plus when I went over a steep driveway in my 30' Winnebago Vista, I was concerned that this may bottom out - but instead, there was a frame rail under the RV that scraped instead. This unit was well clear. If you find yourself in a situation where this could scrape the ground, it is easy just to put the brake on in the car and pull the release pin on the this unit. Then, reconnect later.

This Roadmaster cable is the one I needed and it is OEM so built well. My 1st one lasted 16 years, still works but showing wear finally so I decided to replace it. Good solid Roadmaster cable with every needed part for a new installation inside a strong package. I had ordered the wrong one (Blue Ox) and Etrailer made it easy to return and order the correct one. Etrailer is a pleasure to work with. This one is well built and a few dollars cheaper than the Blue Ox. I am happy!

After having my boat trailer powder-coated blue, this was a good match for the trailer. And I like being able to disconnect the entire harness.

Very rugged and easy to use. We used it on a 2 1/2 month trip to Alaska, towing our Jeep Wrangler behind our RV (2019 Winnebago View). It was easy to connect and disconnect, even in non-optimal situations, like uneven ground. On even ground, one person can connect the Jeep up in about five minutes, and disconnect it in about two or three minutes.

Seems sturdy and well made with a good finish. What more is there to say? I'm only using it for a bike rack, but would have no hesitation to use it for more robust duties.

The tow bar rise extension was exactly what I needed to raise up the attachment point for my Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain tow bar when pulling my Jeep Wrangler. Perfect fit and finish.

This wired into my Mini Cooper easily enough. The Breakaway Switch works as it should, however the brake assist does not work as the brakes in the motorhome are applied. Apparently the brake assist works from the "powered" brake switch relay and the switch in the Mini is not powered without the key on. I do not have brake lights or turn signals from the Mini either. I use remote magnet lights for turn and brake lights. I suppose that I could figure out how to make this work but with a 2.500 pound car it seems that I have enough brake power in the motorhome without the assist of the brakes in the Mini.

A good kit but overpriced. I would like to see the remote included, the full kit for a new setup is way over priced as well.

Super fast shipping. Good quality product. As some others pointed out, they don’t tell you that this part is required but not included with the other parts of the set up. Had I known, I would have included with the other order and saved the shipping cost.

One year later...We put around 10K miles on the RV throughout the year in large part in the East Canadian Atlantic provinces and Manitoba. The screen has performed well in keeping those nasty small pebbles from peppering our Jeep which was the reason we purchased this product in the first place. I am glad we made this purchase.

I would have rated it 5 stars had it not been for the problem with one of the extension rod locking latches. After about 8 months I noticed a clucking sound while turning. I determined that one of the extension rods was not locking causing the clunk. I contacted Roadmaster and they explained that the latch needed to be tighten. Once I performed the adjustment it worked as designed, however from the rod expanding and contracting it ripped the nylon Defender Protective Screen and now I have a damaged screen that will cost me $200 to replace.

Bought this as a spare for towing my FJ Cruiser behind my motorhome. Did not want to be delayed if the one I am using got stolen or damaged. This is an exact replacement for my original and had a great price and quick delivery and extremely well packaged.

2018 Chevy Equinox LT, 1.5L Turbo. Product works perfectly and has for the last year. Always use etrailer.com to get it right. Tried to get the right products as a kit, but that was a total mess as the kits didn't even come close to what I needed. Called etrailer to get their expert opinion and it was great! For example, just for electric it took 3 different packages for the wiring. I also ordered the Blue Ox towing hardware including the car install and the tow bar. Used their videos for all the installations. Would not have gone well at all without their knowledge. Thanks etrailer!
