Love this hitch. It has performed great with my 17,000 lb trailer all year. A very stable and reliable platform for towing. Easy to set up and plenty of adjustment to get the trailer just right. The only negative is the weight, not the easiest to get in and out of the truck by yourself.

Product arrived fast, had it installed and towing within 30 minutes, set screw jam nuts on height adjustment slightly hard to get to but happy with the quality. Towing my 5th wheel around to test I noticed it felt much tighter with less chucking and bouncing than my last rail style hitch.

I absolutely love my Companion hitch. It is the quietest hitch I have ever owned. It also has the the strongest and thickest jaws around the fifth wheel king pin I have ever owned. The slide is very easy to operate and even though it is quite heavy for a 69 year old man to take it out and put it in my truck I still would recommend it to anyone who needs a combo gooseneck and fifth wheel hitch set up. There is absolutely no slop or movement of the king pin in the jaws, unlike most other style fifth wheel hitches that I have owned in the past. In my opinion you would have to go way out on a limb to try and top this one. Dan seegmiller

The Curt Gooseneck rail adapter works great for towing my 38ft Mobile Suite 5th wheel. And i can remove it and no rails to deal with. I would recommend this product. Two Thumbs up!!!

This adapter allowed me to quickly install a fifth wheel hitch in my single wheel shortbed truck which had a gooseneck hitch without any extra installation work, other than just dropping it in. Easily installed and has worked well with a slider hitch.

don't like it at all,,, turns on my flat bed with a trailer hooked up,, called company and they suggested to tighten it down tighter, and tried, it still turned. trying to find something different.

Excellent product

I have a standard bed on a 2024 Chevrolet 2500hd and the offset hitch extends too far so that it contacts my bed on the left and right when I angle my trailer at about a 120 degree angle. I will get the straight one so it will fit properly. My rhino box fifth wheel is pretty short but makes this setup too long. Get the straight one if you have a Chevy with a rhino box 5th wheel. Towing is nice and hookup was easy. 3 stars just because the offset hit the sides.

This is my first 5th wheel but I have several other gooseneck trailers that I tow on a regular basis. I didn't want to have to switch back and forth so I bought this adapter. I have a long bed but I have a chase rack on it that goes up over the cab. I really didn't want to have to remove it every time I wanted to tow my new toy hauler so I got the offset hitch. Install was very straight forward. Took me about 40 min. to install. The hardest part was getting the bolts in as mine has the long pin box and it was all I could do to reach the holes. I don't have very many miles on it but it tows great. I didn't notice any difference from my other gooseneck trailers.

Used the Companion hitch to convert gooseneck ball mount to 5th wheel hitch. Companion fits perfectly inside the well of my flatbed and is easy to remove to use the gooseneck ball and easy to re-install. The hitch is very secure and tows my RV quite smoothly. There is no back and forth movement and I couldn’t be happier with it. Easy to hook up and disconnect the trailer. Highly recommended. Etrailer staff was very helpful in helping me find the right equipment to meet my needs.

Hitch is great, B&W products are exceptional. Had the turnover ball mounted on a Douglass flatbed. Purchased the fifth wheel hitch for a 37 ft two axle toy hauler. Pulls great, easy installation. Make sure to make all the appropriate measurements before purchasing. There were some shipping issues. etrailer failed to send a bolt bag initially. Took a while to get that rectified, but all is well.

Delivered in great time. Product fit just like it stated. Saved me a lot of time and money. I will buy from etrailer again.

Products fit properly, I haven’t used it yet with my 5th wheel hitch but appears to be sturdy and should work well. Easy to switch form 5th wheel hitch to gooseneck ball.

Had to use chain and a cheater pipe to seat this in the gooseneck, but it’s better than being loose. Mounted a Curt A20 on it and it pulls a Keystone Montana like a dream

Quality steel, heavy duty. Good product. It does have some rough/sharp edges though.

Shipping was fast. Experience with e trailer was good as always. Part was not so impressive. Plate where welded onto tube was not in line with the holes causing the hitch to not align with the trailer. Other than alignment hitch adapter looks and feels sturdy and robust.

Does not work. Makes front of flatbed trailer too high & ramps won’t land. And I had it blasted and painted before installing. Wish the weld was flat on 5th wheel plate.

Order confirmation was fast, shipping was fast, they said it would be here Saturday but ups doesn’t deliver on Saturday or Sunday so it didn’t get here until Monday. I knew this so I was expecting it and I didn’t need it right away so to me it didn’t matter. Everything was delivered in good shape when it got here. I’ve bought one of these from strainer before and liked it so when I found I was in need of a goose neck adapter again I got the same one and etrailer came through again. This adapter is expensive but it works great. Would recommend.

Installed this hitch adapter on a small-ish fifth wheel trailer (2007 arctic fox 21-5R). I've waited to review now that I've finished pulling the trailer through the Canadian Rocky mountains to Vancouver island and back ~4000km or 2500 Miles. The hitch installed fairly easily in about 2 hours, with careful attention to centering and torque specifications. The hitch performed as it should throughout my recent trip, no problems with function whatsoever. The only downside I see with this hitch adapter is the need to raise the trailer a few inches higher each time you hitch/unhitch, in order to clear the gooseneck ball. Also, when nearing a full 90 degree angle between truck & trailer, the pin box may rub against the bed rails. This is partly due to the ride height of my truck. Otherwise, excellent solution for avoiding the Fifth wheel hitch in your truck box! Picture attached, dodge 3500 regular 6 foot box (levelling kit, 35" wheels) with arctic fox fifth wheel trailer. Very good quality. Welds and fit are excellent. I used this to adapt a 5thwheel. The factory pin box was the wrong style to fit my truck and hitch. This coupler adapter allowed me to use vertical adjustment to let my trailer clear the bed of my truck even when turning. As you can see I cut the coupler down to suit my needs and it seems to have worked very well. My only complaint isn’t even really aimed at the part or etrailer but at usps. etrailer shipped the part the next day and I had it within 3days. The box it came in was shredded!!! Again not really the fault of etrailer or the part but y’all might think about using better shipping containers or using a better shipping company. Also wrapping these bigger heavier parts with sharp corners in shipping Cellophane might help keep the boxes in 1 piece. Thanks!!

Quality control kinda sucks with this one. I'm not happy with the crooked set screws primarily. Also not happy with the crooked load bearing pin holes that so many others mentioned. I bought this combo because it was only $[XX] more than the inner shaft by itself. Tried to get a partial refund or send it back but they want me to pay for shipping, so it's not worth it. I would recommend buying the Bulldog brand, might have better quality design.

Best customer service experience parts came in faster than expected and well packaged had placed the wrong order the first time and emailed the customer service to cancel order on a sunday replied right away and got me set up with the correct parts definitely my go to place from now on as a first generation farmer and having to deal with many trailers either to move cattle or equipment this is a place of business i can now trust thank you customer service department
