Best 2021 GMC Sierra 3500 Trailer Hitch Ball Mounts

This is a beast of a drawbar, solid forged steel & well finished. It's also very heavy and E-Trailer needed to ship 3 times because the first two broke out of the box they were packed in. (Someone in the USPS has a couple nice draw bars.) Fortunately the 3rd effort was much better packed in a reinforced box and was successfully delivered. E-Trailer customer service was exemplary in resolving the shipment issue & I will definitely shop with them again.

seems to be well built, haven't used it yet. Thought I would be pulling a pontoon trailer, but it fell through and have never used the tow and stow ball mount.

Using this hitch on my Expedition and LandCruiser. A standard hitch caused my 12 ft utility trailer to not ride level when towed behind either truck. Since my trucks have different ride heights, the B&W hitch allows me to get the perfect drop for each truck. Trailer responds much better to road issues level as opposed to angled behind the truck. Additionally, its rating exceeds both of the trucks’ towing capabilities, so I have the hitch I need for the future as I have plans for a heavier trailer down the road. Quality and fitment of the hitch is excellent.

It’s heavy duty. I think it weighs as much as my equalizer hitch. I just got a new truck so we’ll see on a hitch height but on my old truck I wish I’d gotten the hitch with one height up so I had more adjustment and so it’s off hitting the ground. Oh well I tried guessing. I should of listened to the spirit. But a great heavy duty hitch.

I just installed the Gen-Y and its way better than my last one (much more stout). I put it on a 2011 f350 with a leveling kit on 35s and Im defiantly glad that I got one with the 7 inch drop. Im also going to be putting it on a Kubota M-120 to pull a 12ft box scraper.

7" drop keeps my smaller trailers riding level on my 2022 Silverado 3500 (stock suspension). Very easy to change settings for different trailers & loads. Well built.

I've used the hitch over the last year on several trailers and loads. The adjustability made towing a much better feel and ride over a fixed hitch that at times not the greatest. I see no wear, very easy to adjust even once coupled to the trailer and finding the trailer needs to be leveled better.

I pay to receive the product in good condition, my hitch ended up being damaged, I don't know what type of packaging this was, they are supposedly a waoooo site, I ask for my return label and my refund, I

I have not used the hitch yet, but it fits nicely into the receiver. So far, it's all I have expected.

Product looks great just wondering if a one and seven eights inch ball can be added if the 2 inch ball is removed

This hitch is the last one I should ever have to buy. It is well worth the money and should last a long time. I pull 10,000lb trailers and it works out well. No rattling or clanking with this hitch.

This hitch is a very handy addition to my toolbox! I work for a county road department, and I’m always pulling different trailers to and from job sites. I can switch from a 2 5/16” ball hitch, to a pintle hitch with the flip of a lever! Thanks B and W!

After finding out that it's made in China I ordered a similarly priced Gen Y dual ball mount with better weight rating and made in USA. Not a bad hitch if you need pintle ring capability its just the made in china thing that down rates it for me. My fault for not looking more carefully about country of origin.

This review does not just serve my recent order, but all of the orders before it. I have purchased a number of items from etrailer and everything was sent in a timely manor as stated and promised. All of the items I received were exactly as described. I watched a number of videos, read a number of diagrams and all of the help information was exactly what I needed. In other words I did not need to go anywhere else to get a full tow package for a Dodge 5500 that did not have one. I cannot say enough about how this website helped me. Super beefy and very well made. Packed well too. Some careful thought and enginnering went into this piece and you can tell. Im old enough to remember being able to buy high quality, locally made stuff for a reasonable price. Seems like those days are mostly gone. It was fun to inbox this hitch and appreciative the solid craftsmanship. Doesn’t happen too much anymore.

The Gen-Y hitch is a beast and should last forever. It weights approx 55 lbs. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet and I hope that it doesn’t rust like I have seen in some reviews on YouTube etc. My big disappointment is the fact that it does not take my 2 1/2” to 2” sleeve (the 2 ball mount is 2 1/2”) so I can use another hitch with it to move a small trailer that rides lower than this hitch goes. I even talked to someone at Gen-Y to verify that it would work. They said it would. IT DOES NOT. To much pain to send it back. I’m sure I would have to pay shipping.

I purchased this hitch for my 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 which has the multiple tailgate. The hitch was in the stow position but still damaged my tailgate when I had the tailgate fully down and used the step feature. it bent the metal and scratched the paint. So please be aware this hitch is not recommended for the 2024 GMC sierra 3500 with multiple tailgate.

I knew this was a heavy duty hitch, but you have to hold in your hands to really appreciate its heft. Adjustments are easy to make and I really like the stow feature. Just got it today so haven't had a chance to tow anything yet, but it looks like it's going to work great. Delivery was fast and on time.

Went with the B&W due to the length of the shaft going into the receiver. My 2024 Ram's receiver is recessed under the bumper. This hitch is long enough to accept my Towtector product. Similar to Rock Tamers. Also, Brittany in customer service was awesome to work with as she guided me towards the product that worked for my application.

This ball mount is extremely heavy duty. I had a stock class IV hitch and aftermarket ball mount on my Ram 3500 SRW and it was bending towing a 14000 lb dump trailer. I upgraded to a class V hitch and this mount and it's working great. I have 6 trailers that I pull with gooseneck, 5th wheel and ball hitches. The only 1 that uses 1 7/8" ball is a little 5x8 utility trailer that I'm converting to 2" so I got the 2 ball instead of the 3. When turned sideways it works as a step to get into the truck but only if the tailgate is up. It doesn't stick out far enough when the tailgate is open. The reason for 1 less star is the documentation; you need more information to make the best choice. I originally ordered a different PN and it hung way too low bc is mounted under the existing hitch. To remove the stock hitch, you also remove the integrated mounting brackets for the bumper. I ordered a PN for a truck without a hitch and cut off the receiver tube with a torch. Also, I upgraded the 3 1/2" exhaust to 4" and now at idle the exhaust rattles on the much larger frame of the class V but a slight modification in planned to take care of that. Installation was fairly straighforward once I removed the original receiver tube.

These hitches are the best! And I scanned the world over to find only hitches that are made in USA like I do every product I buy. This is a very ingenious design that allows some shock absorption that greatly quiets any trailering. I bought two full hitches one for each ball size so that I would never have to change ball again! Great product!

Just received this mount and did the test fit with our trailer. We have not hit the road with it yet but I am confident it will perform perfectly. I am anxious to see how the cushioned feature works. We pull a box cargo trailer for business and just got a new Chevy HD pickup to tow with. It has a 2.5" receiver and hitch height is much greater than the Suburban we were using plus it had a 2" receiver. This mount is rated for far more weight than we will ever need but it was the only 2.5" size with 6" drop that I could find. We are very pleased with the product and the excellent customer service we got at etrailer. This hitch is easy to adjust to fit different trailer heights so I can keep them pulling level without having to buy different drop hitches. It holds up great under heavy loads I pull a tractor and a 3 axel trailer with no worries of a hitch failure. Thanks B&W for making a great hitch

Perfect, my second GenY Torsion hitch. Upgrading to the 21K from the 16K. There's not even a close second.

I have yet to tow with this hitch because I just received it today. Upon receiving the box I knew this hitch was not for the faint of heart. It felt like a massive hitch weighing in at 118lbs. Taking it out of the box I could see that this hitch is built like a beast and will likely be more hitch than I will ever need, but I needed a drop hitch and after asking etrailer questions and doing my own extensive research, I decided this was the hitch I should buy. I like the fact that it will give a little more space between the trailer and the truck, it can be used as a pintle setup if the need arises, and it comes with two ball sizes. Using this for my enclosed landscape trailer I am hoping it extends the life of tires and suspension components. I will try and update in the future after towing with this hitch.

Hitch works perfectly, this is the second one I order so I will not need to move them between my vehicles. Mark

I purchased the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 3" Drop, 3-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black and am extremely happy with it. It was $100 cheaper than anywhere else I shopped. Was delivered quickly and was an easy install. I used it to haul a trailer full of wood that I cut up and it got the job done! It is very heavy duty and takes the place of multiple single hitches. It’s nice to have all the options in one.

As always etrailer came through with excellent service. They are quick and professional. B&W hitches are the best. They are designed well and work as intended. Then they stow away until they are needed again.

Very Strong ball mount. My wive (its her truck), towed 7000# of horse, tack and trailer last saturday. I know this ball mount is overkill but it is easier than using a 2" with the receiver adapter. Also this way if we have to tow something real heavy we already have the ball mount for it.
