These mirror are the best i have tested so far. I used them on my 08 Equinox to have a better view when pulling my popup camper. The installation is made within 5 minutes and you get a very good sight of your towing vehicule and around. They dont suffer from any kind of vibration even in high winds and they hold very well. The only cons that i have is that with my vehicule the added mirrors interfered slightly with the factory mirror so i cannot move them as freely as normaly but its no a big deal. For the price you cannot find any better mirror on the market.
After years of replacing mirrors from other sources I purchased a pair of these. There fantastic, plenty of adjustments. Got covid on vacation, really sick and did not properly install mirror. Not broken but scratched badly from asphalt at 55 mph. Purchased a replacement, scratched one is my spare.

I was very disappointed these mirrors were shipped in a thin display box without a cardboard box to protect them. I have attached a photo of the box bottom. Mirrors appear to be ok but not sure I would chance ordering anything more from you.
They will not stay on the mirrors for a 2023 Grand Cherokee. After very careful installation they fell off because the shape of the mirror is rounded and you cannot get a good grip to hold the mirror on

They were easy to install (once you figure out where the strap release button is located) and worked like a charm! I drive a 2017 Suburban and towed a Keystone Bullet (about 8 1/2’ wide and 30’ long) 160 miles today without any issues. The mirrors are not what I’d call pleasing to the eye, but they certainly provided an additional 18” of span, enabling me to look down the sides of the trailer and see cars behind me.

CIPA Universal Fit Dual-View Towing Mirror - Clip-On
Love the mirrors. Easy to hook onto existing mirrors. Not happy with the fit, these would fit mirrors that are more square better than the ones on my 2014 Equinox that are tapered. When I hook them onto the car mirror the part fits between the mirror and the mirror holder only one end would stay put. I was able to use a 1/4 inch plastic shim to make it stay.
I bought the trailer mirrors for my Jeep Grand Cherokee to pull my pull behind trailer. See pictures. The mirrors attach easily and securely and shake very little when driving. I need them mostly when backing up and I can see where the trailer tires are going. The mirrors do not adjust easily but when you do they stay in place. What I especially like is the size of the mirrors and having two independent mirrors.

Just what I needed for launching my boat. I would always loose sight of my trailer when backing into the water to launch. I was unsure if they would fit my 2004 Buick Rainier but they work fine and also fit my 2018 Equinox.
My rating is less to do with the product and more with etrailer. I ordered an identical mirror (CIPA model 11950) on amazon for less than half the price, 1 day shipping, free delivery, and it did not fit my vehicle so I bought the one etrailer recommended for my vehicle. I thought it was CIPA model 7070 but that is just the etrailer model #. I got CIPA model 11950 which I already have. Now I need to return the ones to etrailer and I'm being charged $16 to do so. This could have been avoided if the CIPA model number was immediately visible in the description (it is there in small print at the bottom). Also, my vehicle's mirror (2018 explorer) is not the same as the 2018 explorer in the video and picture. So it's not accurate for etrailer to say it fits all 2018 Explorers.

So-so construction and design. With one modification they're more than acceptable. The arms and straps will slip and loosen if installed on triangular or tapered housings. Mirrors that have backs nearly parallel to the mirror face, and have upper and lower mirror edges that are nearly parallel are not affected. Adding a peel and stick plastic wall hanger to a tapered housing will stop the strap from slipping and loosening. The ball and socket mount is good and tight, but the stud on the ball is loose in the arm. I think most of the jitter and vibration others report is from this sloppy clearance that the stud screw can't tighten enough. I'll be addressing that as well. A nice option for those of us that a) don't tow a majority of the time and don't want full time extended mirrors, and/or b) tow with multiple vehicles and prefer to have adjustability to fit our 'fleet'.

I had an issue with some towing mirror extensions that I purchased where one of the mirrors shattered very very easily. Dena contacted me and offered a replacement and subsequently had the new items shipped very quickly. Just want to say thanks to Dena for her awesome customer service and kindness. You rock!
We use them when we pull our camper. The mirrors allow us to see around The camper now. They are easy to put on and take off. We highly recommend them.

CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror - Strap On - Black
Not a good mirror. Second time using it fell off my car and smashed in road. Thank goodness it did not hit another car. The foam pads slid off and you can not get a good grip. I returned and they are sending me same one, because it was after 30 days.
Fit mostly well on vehicle. Have not used on road yet. Time will tell

Delivery was quick. The mirrors slipped on with ease and fit well over the existing mirrors and looked almost factory attached. Then came the task for securing the attachments to the vehicle. While the concept is easy someone forgot to check deminsions of the parts and were to short to work on my vehicle. I contacted etrailer by chat and asked if there were alternatives for securing the mirrors and unfortunately there weren't any. Then came my decision to use heavy duty electrical looped through the hole the sent hardware was to be inserted through. Unless you look closely they are not easily seen. When I want to remove the mirrors I simply snip the cable tie on each mirror and ues new ones the next time I need to use the mirrors. While my "fix" works they only 3 star because to the attachment hardware.
Bought the custom extensions mirrors for my Silverado to aid in backing up our new camper trailer. Easy to install and remove. Videos were a great help. They not only helped in parking the camper but added a great deal of visibility while driving which makes for a safer trip.

They are ok for what they are. Easy to install and remove. They do not show as much as I thought but enough since I dont have factory tow mirrors.
I ordered these mirrors for my car in Oct 2021 at which time the website indicated they would fit my car. I only need them for towing during the summer so did not even open the boxes until this week, April 2022. Imagine my surprise to find out that the mirrors do NOT fit my car. I immediately sent an e-mail requesting process to return and exchange for mirrors that would fit. Today I received a response stating sorry they don't fit but our returns policy is 60 days and I was outside of that time. I should try selling them locally! I could understand if the mirrors were no longer carried by etrailer but they are still in stock. And I'm not asking for a refund but an exchange. Very disappointed in this company!

Rather on the high side on cost but they are easy it install and remove. Field of vision is not what it could be but better than the mirrors on the truck.

CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirrors - Strap On - Qty 2
I bought these mirrors to use on our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I used them just a couple of times and have decided to look for something else. Despite my best efforts and watching (and re-watching) the online video that shows them being mounted on my exact vehicle, I found that the soft pads that grip the back of the mirror could not keep the mirror in place for more than 30 minutes or so. It was warm (mid-80s) when I used the mirrors and the heat seemed to let the pads slip too much. I tried several different positions and adjusted the tension straps carefully, but no luck. They seem pretty well made and may well work well on other vehicles, but they just don't work with my Jeep GC.
Honda Odyssey 2010 is what these mirrors are used for by me. Once I get them positioned where I want them, which was quite the project the first time, they work fine, giving driver critically necessary views of our A-line trailer. After a period of driving, though, their position shifts, they start to sag, they simply cant hold on tight enough to the half-melted-bar-of-soap aero-shape of our Honda mirrors. Not the fault of CIPA, it IS a universal fit it says. Some fits will be better than others. There are no mirrors I could find dedicated to 09 - 11 Honda Odysseys. These work, don't get me wrong, and I'll keep using them, since there's nothing else available, but it took a while to discover the routine that gets them mounted where they stand half a chance to last a trip. The tension locking knobs are a righteous pain in the patooty. I would say to look long and hard for a mirror made specifically for your application before you buy these. If nothing is available, well... OK, maybe these will work for you. So far they have for me, once I got it all figured out.

Very good quality construction. Very good fit for a non-custom mount. Thick rubber straps are stretched over the car’s side mirror and hold the mirror well. My car is a 2017 Ford Expedition EL. Note: when you fold in the car mirror the towing mirror partially blocks the progress so that mirror stops early. It is still folded but not as completely as without the tow mirror. And yes, they are two identical mirrors so on one side the straps go up, on the other side they go down.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! I had great hopes for these mirrors. They look great. They appear to be very adjustable right out package. They fit on my Tacoma securely. They don't interfere with the function of the stock mirrors. Everything was moving along "swimmingly". Then I sit inside my truck to do the final adjustment (moving the actual mirror to get the correct setting and lock it into the "sweet spot"). The new Mirror is very stiff...doesn't want to move. Well, its new...so....Okay, I don't want to ruin anything...so.... No worries, I go get a phillips screwdriver to loosen the back screw a smidge so the friction adjustment can work . Come back start to back the screw out just a smidge...nope...still can't adjust the...wait...unscrew some more....that's not an adjustment screw at all. That just screws directly into the back of the mirror to hold it solidly in place. Worse yet, There is no friction mechanism on the back of the mirror at all. It is one solid piece of plastic. The molded plastic replicates the look as if it has the ability to move, but in reality....There is no way to do small mirror corrections once you have this thing installed. What the Actual people?????!!!!!!???? If you can't do minor adjustments to the mirror while you are in the vehicle, then the mirror is completely useless. I wouldn't recommend this product to my worst enemy. It's a piece of crap. DO NOT BUY!!!! A complete waste of time, money, and shipping costs. Now, I have to incur more shipping costs to send this POS back to etrailer. Hey, etrailer....Do Better next time!!!!

Finally, we got extended mirrors for our 2016 Sequoia. OEM mirrors are manageable but inefficient when backing up or switching lanes with a Travel Trailer. The only issue with the extended mirrors is that they vibrate to the extent you get hypnotized. They work best at slow speeds, backing in campgrounds or switching lanes at slow speeds. Sixty-five miles, forget it. Use your best judgment. If the mirrors are well molded into place, the vibration may be minimized. The team at etrailer, from start to finish, was fabulous. Thanks

I'm so impressed at the quality of these mirrors (I bought both driver and passenger sides) especially at such a reasonable cost. Very simple but effective solution for me. It took about 3 minutes to install these as they fit and slide right over my existing mirrors. They were designed precisely for my vehicle so don't interfere with my power adjustments or signal lights. I'm new at pulling a large Camping trailer and needed to find something to get my field of view around both sides. Factory mirrors and such were too expensive for my budget and I don't believe they would help anymore than these.
Fits nicely over my existing mirrors and is extremely easy to install. They look great and are blend in with the existing mirror so that they look natural.

Really loved my cipa mirrors on my Chevy. The dodge mirrors are tight if you use the right thickness wedge. Problem I have is that if your backing up and want to pan the factory mirror down for rocks or stumps the overhanging lip of the cipa mirror stopes the factory mirror. Will have to grind some off that lip for factory mirrors tilt up or down to clear for the tilt of factory mirror.

These mirrors helped tremendously when towing my Micro Minnie travel trailer versus stock mirrors on my GMC SIERRA 1500. The extended mirrors enabled to better determine when it was safe to move back into my lane after passing a vehicle and allowed me to see better the vehicles behind trailer. Although there was an occasional slight vibration in the passenger side mirror, it did not disrupt the usability of the mirrors. The towing mirrors took only a minute or two to install and fit perfectly on the stock mirrors. Adjusting them properly takes a little more time and is easier when a second person helps. I am extremely pleased with this purchase!
Hi, i bought Longview custom towing mirrors for my 2023 1500 chev. silverado.Ive'd traveled for about 8,000 miles in the states (winter 23-24 ) they are great easy on and off, no vibrations i really highly recommend these mirrors.

I like these but I would have given them 4.5 stars if possible and I'll explain below. The shipping was fast. They arrived in good shape. Right out of the box the construction didn't inspire confidence, these are lightweight. They slide on horizontally to the OEM mirror & fit snuggly, then a wedge is tightened in place between the tow mirror and the OEM mirror to prevent the tow mirror from sliding back off. The tow mirrors are easy to install and from a short distance look better than some of the other "clamp-on" styles. A plus! I have tried these a couple of times at speeds of up to 80mph (we can do that in Idaho), and yes, I don't plan to tow a trailer that fast but a strong headwind would easily exceed an 80 or 90mph effective speed. (we get that in Idaho too) During the tests they performed well, never loosened, no noticeable vibrations in the view. I was impressed. Overall, I would buy these again and recommend to a friend.
I had the mirrors for about four months and one of the mirrors just fell off was not happy. Obviously it shattered on the ground. The adhesive is very cheap on them called customer service. They sent me out a new one, but was told this happens quite often with those. I think the adhesive Hass to be better.

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.Today on our 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the SEPA universal fit towing mirror, which is also sold as a set.Towing mirror really going to expand our field of view.That can be especially useful whenever making a lane change, backing up into a tight parking spot, or just wanting to keep a closer eye on what's going on behind us.So to give you an example, how much more ground we're going to be able to cover, as you can see, I'm visible and they're telling me, but not our factory mirror.Now, if I take a few steps closer to our trailer, I'll disappear out of that towing mirror and become visible in our factory mirror.that's also really going to help to eliminate any blind spots as well.One of the biggest questions we get in regards to universal fit towing mirrors is if you're going to have any vibration or noise, especially at higher speeds.Well, this one does clamped to the factory mirror and it really is solid.If I kind of move it around, you can see it's just moving with the factory mirror.So I really don't see that causing an issue for you.And since our towing mirror is going to extend the overall width of our Equinox, sometimes it may be a little tricky to pull into tight spots.As you need to free up some space, you still are able to completely fold the mirror in the Toe of your lens in this position.There's a little contact, but if you just rotate it, it'll give you that extra enter so that you might need.And even with the towing mirror in place, we're still able to maintain all of our adjustability with our factory mirror.That's really good to come in handy.That way you don't have to sacrifice any visibility.Towing mirror itself is also completely adjustable.You're going to be able to adjust it up and down side to side, pretty much any which way you want.You can even rotate it a full 360 degrees.So you shouldn't have any problems finding a position that works best for you.And since this tow mirror is universal, chances are pretty good.If you happen to have another vehicle in the household, it'll probably work with that too.And if you want to switch them around, it's really not too big of a headache because how easy this is to put on and take off.Speaking of which let's go ahead and pull it all together now.So the way we get our mirror on is these two knobs, which you're going to do is loosen them up.And that's going to create a bigger gap in between these two pieces here.So once you have that created, it will just simply slide that onto the factory mirror, kind of hold it in place and then just evenly turn the knobs to clamp it down.Once you have it nice and snowing. If you picked up a set, you simply just repeat this process over on the other side.And that'll finish up our look at and our installation of the SEPA universal fit towing mirror on our 2020 Chevrolet Equinox.
