Hitch went on as advertised. Good quality components and excellent fit, tucking away as good as possible. Support was excellent when calling for advice on wiring kits. Once again etrailer for the win!

The controller did not work straight out of the box. All connections were checked and double checked, so it is definitely a bad controller. Unfortunately, I purchased the controller in March and only now had opportunity to install it, so it seems I'll not be able to exchange it. It is disappointing that so many brand new items do not work straight out of the box these days. A shop who does work on my vehicles on occasion said that over the past 4-5 years, he has seen a huge jump in bad components.

Worked out well.

2 things. 1st@: I think there should be an option to pick tinned wire. 2nd: The ring terminal for the ground needs to be bigger.

Trailer wiring got here just today so I can't really review this one. However, I have purchased the same unit before and it's really great. Just make sure you ground it properly and make good connections and it will work fine. Thanks again for a great product and rapid service. Robert

Just what I needed for my home-built bike carrier. My wife rides an e-tricycle and by the time I loaded the trike and a couple of bikes on this platform, you could not see the car's taillights or blinkers. This harness worked perfectly!

This is very heavy duty looking connector and wires. I needed one to replace the damaged one on my Demco car hauler which is built for rental market. This looks as heavy duty as the original. Which didn't break but someone let it drag on the ground and wore half the pins off.

The plug is different from original cord. Doesn’t look as good but we’ll see how it works. 1st new cord

It's a bundle of wires with a plug. Hard to make this type of part special above other brands. Price is the big factor. Not quite sure why this one is 50% less cost than some others. But works as expected. Solved the dreaded taillights blinking while traveling on the road.

This part is an exact replacement to the part that failed. The failure was caused by a poor installation which allowed the rubber boot to chaff on the truck frame. As it was an exact replacement installation was straight forward although I modified the mounting bracket to prevent a reoccurrence of the problem.

Decent enough plug. It was an easy install. I would have liked to have allen screws to get a good bite, but will check the connections after a use or two.

Plug arrived on time and as described. I replaced a farm implement electric plug and was better than the original!

I've had this in use for over a year and they don't build them like they use to. I use this on a gooseneck trailer and the piece of plastic behind the spade connector for the clearance lights and brakes has melted, allowing the spade connector to lose contact with the plug on the pickup. So the lights would cut off in the middle of the night and would have to wiggle the connection till I could fix it. I have an older Hopkins plug and never had this problem. To fix the problem I ended up putting pieces of thin copper wire behind the spade and have done it twice since the plastic melted a 2nd time and once again the trailer clearance lights would quit working. Attached are before and after pictures.

Customer service was great, I called for help connecting the 7-way and they walked me through it. Shipping could be better

Heavy built. Very much wish it had a cable clamp on the backside similar to its male equivalent. As it is all the strain on the wiring/cable is supported by the terminals themselves.

I've got that trailer that has had one tough life. Yep, hundreds of gigs, PA and sound equipment rolling in and out, the heat, the cold, the sun, rain, and snow. I rewired my light bar for my boat trailer with the items I purchased. Before I built the the light bar, every time I used my boat trailer I would waste valuable sailing or fishing time repairing faulty lights. The do not last long when you submerge them in salt water. This light bar now version 3.0 have given little trouble over the years

Tough environment for these…need to keep a spare handy

I rewired my boat trailer using the wesbar 4-flat connector from junction box to the hitch. I do wish the wesbar connector was available in tinned wire. I used tinned 14 ga tinned wire for the rest of the wire and ran a ground wire to every light eliminating the trailer frame as a ground. Also added a switch at junction box for a manual trailer reverse flood lights. Filled the junction box with removable potting Gel to prevent water/corrosion. Works great. No issues. Never been stuck on the side of the road troubleshooting an electrical issue / bad ground. Would purchase this again, unless I could find a marine/tinned wire version, then I would purchase that one instead.

Hefty cable with thick sheathing. Should hold up well to rugged use & the elements.

Overall, I was very impressed by this connector. I used it as an in-bed connector for my gooseneck trailers. The plug seems to be a quality product, engineered to stand up to some abuse. I like how the mounting bolt heads recess into the connector and also how the bottom of the connector is elongated to help support the weight of the plug and wiring. I think it has a great shot at lasting for a very long time. The hinge is predominately plastic that will not corrode and break like the many I've had in the past.

Purchased Rv trailer socket for "in bed" installation in my Ram truck. Installation went smoothly and etrailer videos were most helpful in visualizing the install. Product works as described and ordering and delivery were on schedule. Thanks for the great service!

as far as small 5 pin round plugs go, this one's better than others as the terminals are less likely to short against the housing like I've had before. I prefer the 5 flat myself but have two trailers for the bike both done this way, so I stayed with the round.

This trailer wiring kit is PHENOMENAL! I was having trouble with another kit because the wire gauge was far too small causing poor conductivity resulting in partial to lack of running lights. This is a QUALITY harness and all of my trailer lights work perfect now! Thank you so much for not selling junk like many of the competition. Will always go here for future trailer needs! Thank you!

Wiring harness is of a quality build. Happy with the fit etc. My only complaint was the 30' harness was only 27'. My trailer is 27'. I had to make up the extra 3 feet to finish wiring in the lights

This is the perfect solution for the Harley Davidson 5 wire harness, easily lets you convert to 4 pin and stores away when you don't need it.

The product did not work and I have to order another that will work.

The wiring converter worked exactly as designed and was simple to install.

I do not recommend this product. I bought this for my truck. It seems to be the nicest looking plug on the market but after the first rain, the plug was filled with water. I changed the location from the hitch to the bumper and once again the plug was filled with water after it rained. This condition will obviously lead to terminals corroding and/or wires being shorted out. I have bought a different style plug, unfortunately the same brand but hopefully I will have better luck. May be able to drill a small drain hole in the casing to allow water to escape but shouldn't have to do this on a new product.

I bought this socket for my 2006 Volvo Xc90 to wire in the 4-Pole harness I also purchased from etrailer. Already had a few 7 Blade to 4-Pole adapters from my previous vehicle, and wanted the option of adding a trailer brake wire for a small camper later on so that was the main reason for the purchase. It also went very well with the Hidden Hitch I had already installed, bracket mounted right up to the existing tabs on the hitch. Super quick and easy install, as all of my etrailer purchases have been. Looks great on the truck, and functions great with the 180 Degree cover.
