Most Popular 3500 lbs GTW for 2018 Ford Escape

The draw bar is absolutely perfect! all other internet and local hitch installer contacts said no one makes a 1 1/4" draw bar with a 6" drop. first picture is my original draw bar with a 2.5" drop. the trailer was running quite high. number 2,3,4 are with your Brophy draw bar you can really see the trailer is level.I took a measurement that may come in handy in your files. my car is a 2012 ford escape with a factory trailer package . The measurement from the center of my receiver to the ground is 18"1/4" trailer tires are 5.30x12 This is my new car and I was surprised at the height. the Ford dealer was no help so possibly you can supply other 4 wheel drive escapes with draw bars.

This hitch is just what I needed. I have a Popup Camper I tow behind my motorcycle and also wanted to tow it behind my wife's Ford Escape. The issue is the trailer is very low and my MC hitch is only 12 inches off the ground. This gets me close so the trailer doesn't point to the sky. I hooked up the draw bar today for the first time to the trailer that I built and the hitch I installed. The draw bar uses a cotter pin that slides on the bolt rather than going through a hole to mount the bar to the hitch. I have never used a sliding on pin in anything - I've only used those that go through a small hole matching the pin. This includes my farm tractor and other tools. I hope it is secure because it does slide on easily. The bar itself appears nice and strong.

Works great with my new Kurt receiver hitch and the drop is perfect for a level tow on a '08 Ford Escape.

No problem. Exactly what I needed

Worked perfectly. Super easy installation and it carried a U-haul 5x8 trailer 1000 miles with almost full capacity on tow-limits. A little disappointed that the connecting rod doesn't fit perfectly into the receiver hitch. So, when there is no weight on the ball mount, it is wobbly and makes an annoying metal-to-metal clinking noise whenever you go over a ditch. You can easily correct it with a piece of cardboard stuffing for cushioning or just take it off when not it use. Great piece of equipment, works perfectly! Super happy with the purchase.

All equipment was delivered on time. Hitch, wiring harness, receiver and ball. Watched video's on installation of harness and hitch. Went down to my garage and installed both with the help of my girlfriend. Very satisfied with the products and the installation. etrailer supplied the goods and the knowledge. I needed to tow a trailer with a 2" ball. My original ball mount has a 1 7/8" ball installed. I had previously tried to change a ball on a hitch and destroyed the nut and damaged the underside of the ball mount. The lock washer had done a great job in keeping the nut from coming off. I dreaded trying to remove my 1 7/8" ball to install a new one that I would only use once. I decided to buy a new ball mount and mount the new 2" ball. This ball mount is so inexpensive that I realized I could have both ball sizes permanently mounted for use in either ball size.

I wasn't sure what type of ball mount I needed for my new Mazda CX-9, so I had to call a representative. The first time I called, the very knowledgeable gentlemen told me exactly how to measure my SUV to figure out the drop I needed. I called back the next day and talked to a lady who helped me figure out exactly what I needed. This is my second purchase from etrailer. The first was a hitch for my old Honda Odyssey, which was also a great experience. Heavy duty! I was a little bummed when I found out how much more difficult it was to find a half inch pin for this, but no matter. It is a tad loose inside the hitch, so there's a little rattle, but I doubt it's as noticable as I make it seem. Super classy and a welcome change from the typical draw bar style. This draw bar in perfect for my John Deere X738 tractor. What I like about it is the ¾” rise it keep the draw bar height at about the same as the factory frame so the attachments height remain level. Thanks for the great product.

Not much you can say about a bar with a piece of flat metal welded to it; well made looks good. What is really important is that e-trailer is fast, friendly and knowledgeable. I've ordered from them anytime I needed a trailer/RV part.
