Reese 60x24 Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs Capacity - Glossy Black
My 9 year old and I were able to assemble and install this in about an hour. The anti rattle bolt recommended in the video, and the lights, were great additions and I definitely recommend them too. Handled a 900 mile round trip around the northeast and had plenty of room to bring Xmas presents home in the Curt waterproof cargo bag.
This is a solid Cargo carrier. I was originally looking for a rooftop carrier but I came to realize that a cargo carrier is a far superior option for increased weight and size, ease of access, stability and aerodynamic. Although this one doesn't fold up, there is still adequate space to access the rear hatch on my SUV.

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 47" Long x 35" Wide - 165 lbs
the good: strong. lots of anchor points. secure once assembled. gaps between bars are small, stuff doesn't slip through and hit my roof. reasonably priced. mounts securely. on and off relatively easily. holds a good amount of cargo. weight limit is more than my roof can handle anyway. the bad: assembly is a pain and didn't fit exactly. small rust spots developing. heavy. plastic wind deflector cracked from a rock. lots of wind noise driving at high speeds. overall. i recommend this basket. had some assembly issues because the two pieces didn't fit into each other easily, one side is slightly off-center. wish the plastic wind deflector was metal instead. i've used it several times and have no real issues with it.
I purchased this for my daughter who has a very active lifestyle. She has driven cross country and goes camping with friends. She absolutely loves this roof rack. It was easy to mount and easy to load.

Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 49" x 40" x 6" - 150 lbs
I love this basket! Once I centered on cross braces, it was easy to leave the connectors in same spot. Also, low enough profile to drive in and out my garage. We have a screen door so that made it a shorter height than traditional garage door.
Excellent! Only issue regarding shipping box a bit battered - but product packed well. Also, hardware missing ie a single washer, which was replaced with one of my own.

17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Once it was together, I really liked it. It wasn’t that easy to put together and it required metric tools which I had to search for. It worked well and it was very useful.
Great little rack that does it's job. 4/5 due to two factors, one being its maximum 150lbs rating & two for being positioned DIRECTLY behind the stock exhaust on the 2017 Fiesta ST. We used this to driving across the country (Seattle, WA > Norfolk, VA) and it worked great, after wrapping our suitcase that was directly behind the exhaust in some heat resistant insulation. It did Melt the canvas tarp slightly but after the insulation, the suitcase was fine. Definitely was a lifesaver for space, with three adults, a chihuahua and 17lb cat being in the car for 45 hours, over the span of 5 days.

19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs
I really like this basket. It is very lightweight but still feels stiff/sturdy and it has a great rated capacity (500lbs) for its weight. However, the shipping was sub-par. This item was shipped with a hitch receiver in the same box. The outer box arrived opened, damaged, with hitch parts missing. The basket box was also damaged by something penetrating the box(es). I was able to hammer out the dent in the basket floor and get it assembled. etrailer was very responsive in getting me the missing mounting HW for the hitch. 5 star product, 1 star shipping.
I use this on my 2022 F250, when hauling my cab over. I was able to remove the folding part and attach it straight to my hitch to get it closer to the back of the truck. It’s light weight, decently sturdy, and easy to assemble.

Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft - Black Glossy
This rooftop cargo carrier is exactly what I wanted. Well made and super easy to install. Thank you for the fast service.
The box is big (XL), shiny and sleek. Looks great on our 2021 Subaru Ascent. It weighs about 40lbs, so I was able to simply lift it up and onto the stock Subaru cross bars by myself with a bit of effort going towards balance. Then it was just a matter of attaching the clamps by hand tightening them. I don’t think it could get any easier. The locking mechanism is very assertive and secure. The box is big and can hold just about anything you’d need on a road trip. However, on a midsize SUV like the Ascent, it seems like the perfect size, not too small, not too big. It’s a good fit. Unfortunately, my small 2 car garage is too low to accommodate the vehicle with the box in place. Overall it’s a very refined and well thought out package.

GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Slide Out - 17 cu ft - 420 lbs - Black
Perfect sized box for carry sized luggage and softball game day gear. Proven space saver. Receiver is showing signs of rust otherwise would be a ten. Would buy again.
Overall it's a great box. Love how much room it has and it's easy access. Slides out so van's rear doors open completely. Brake and turn lights improve visibility. Not waterproof but generally things stay dry. A couple of minor things: hole for lock was too close to the edge and pulled out so I drilled one on each front corner (more secure) - metal stays keep sliding out. I need to glue them in. I definitely would buy again.

24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
I love this unit! I’m an avid Camper and Jeeper. My rig has big tires including the spare that requires additional clearance. In addition to hauling my gear, I had concerns about ground clearance off roading and stability. This unit exceeded my expectations on every point! I can even open the tailgate with the unit on and it still has enough clearance to fold up when not loaded. In addition to a great product, the order was confirmed and shipped same day and on my doorstep two days later. It was pretty easy to put together but having a second person to help and fit it on the first time is helpful. Great product!
Easy assembly. Took about 15 minutes. Includes everything needed, even 2 wrench tools! Feels sturdy and well made. Feels just like our other one( curt brand)

SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box - Roof Mount - 18 cu ft - Black
After a year of dependable use the SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box continues to perform to my needs, wants, and expectations. The 2 attributes that shine the most are ease of access/cargo loading (rear access vs. side) and ease of off/on (lightweight and access to the U-bolt hardware). While the overall quality of the materials and hardware are not quite "Excellent", they're darn close. For my needs I'm very happy with this cargo box and the price point makes it a better option the the more expensive brands. It may not be as cool and groovy as a Th*** or Yak*** box but it gets the job done.
The Roof Box was as described and fit great -- Nice. Shipping however was not good, trucker dropped it and the skid at the foot of the driveway -- It looked like it had been crushed and dropped. There was some slight damage, but we accepted it as complaining would be more trouble than it is worth. E Trailer should vet their carriers better -- no care taken with this shipment.

Yakima EXO Swing Away Storage System w/ 2 Enclosed Cargo Carriers - 2" Hitches
Unfortunately we can’t open rear of 2018 expedition with the top box in place. One of the knob locking pins is/was broken in shipping. I also wish all of the items were keyed the same. This whole setup is 5 keys. I’ll probably call a locksmith and have them all re-keyed if possible.
Easy assembly. Great design! Swing out feature is awesome to allow easy access to SUV liftgate. Extra storage space allows 5 or 6 people with luggage, golf clubs, tailgating equipment, etc. to travel together in one vehicle. License plate holder and light kit is a great accessory.

Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Matte Black
Excellent car top carrier (not that I've had many to compare it to). Easy to install and remove, sturdy, and fits well on our Toyota Siena. Opening it is a little tricky, as sometimes the top sticks to the bottom a bit. Adds a lot of extra storage to our car, great for when we go camping. Great experience with etrailer.
Excellent roomy cargo box. My wife’s luggage even fit (see photo). Fit the top of my Forester like it was meant to be there and the hatch opens without obstruction. Great shipping by etrailer.com via Estes freight shipping (almost overkill on shipping).

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 41-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Deep - 150 lbs
I recently purchased Curt Roof Rack and Curt Roof Cargo Basket from Etrailer for my 2024 Toyota 4Runner TRD Sport and the product was excellent, easy to install and Etrailer rep Mr. Mike B having great experiences and very helpful with the products. Thank you!
The reason I bought this basket is due to gas prices. I have a 4X4 suburban I use for camping and hunting but it takes a small loan to fill up the tank. Actually this basket cost less than it does to fill it up. So my thought was if i can get all my gear on my daily driver then i could save some money and maybe even sale the burb. So i gave it a shot last weekend. The rack was easy to put together. I had it out of the box and on the roof in under 30 minutes. As you can see in the pic, i have a rather large ice chest, chain saw, 6 man tent, gas stove and my chair on the roof. My camping destination was about 3 hours away. First was a hour of highway driving at speeds around 70. No issues there. Then 2 hours of windy back roads. No issues there either. The basket made it possible for me and my two kids to load up in the car and head to the hills for three days. The plus for me was it only takes 50$ to fill up the car. :-) I had the max weight in this basket with no issues. I'm very happy with this basket.

GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitch - Slide Out - 34 cu ft - 300 lbs - Dark Gray
Excellent service with etrailer and expeditious shipping! Couldn’t be happier and thank you!!! The model cats are not for sale sadly ??
This is a great cargo carrier with a lot of room, not too happy with the price. We are using this to transport wheelchairs and walkers. We can carry two wheelchairs and a rollater plus rugs, chairs, etc. The top is a clam shell that opens and closes easily once the latches are released. A couple things could be better. The very long power cable that brings power to the license plate light and brake lights has lots of slack when the carrier is not extended, but no way to control it. I've been looking for a spring that I could use to retract the power cable, yet give it some slack when the carrier is pulled out. The other thing is the pair of "locks" that apparently lock the carrier. The locks are flimsy and are not much more than another set of fasteners and would keep out only the most casual thief. Also, the lock between the carrier and the vehicle is very hard to reach, for both locking and unlocking; fortunately, the lock part can be pushed onto the rod while locked. A cable would be easier to deal with but would rattle while driving.
Inno Roof Box Review - 2018 Chrysler Pacifica
Today on our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica we're gonna be doing a test-fit on the INNO Wedge Rooftop Cargo Box, which is part number INBRM 624BK.This roof rack mounts to the roof rack of your vehicle. It's gonna allow you to haul any type of cargo, luggage, sports and recreational gear, anything like that above the roof of your vehicle. One of the cool features is that it has a dual sided opening lid, meaning we can access the box from either side of the vehicle. So, for times when you might be parked in your garage, or maybe a tight parking spot and you can't get access from your passenger side, come over to the driver's side. We'll take our included set of keys, insert them, unlock it, and push down on this black button. We can open it up, and get whatever we might need.Go ahead and close it, and we'll go to the other side. What's cool is that you can't lock it and remove the key unless it's properly closed.
Yakima RocketBox Pro 11 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2018 Chrysler Pacifica
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Rocket Box Pro 11 Rooftop Cargo Box, part number Y07193.The Yakima Rocket Box is great for carrying both skis and snowboards, as well as luggage or sporting goods equipment, and it's slim enough that you can actually fit other accessories on the other side of it, as you see here, even with a factory style roof rack. This can open from either side, so you can actually adjust it to the passenger or driver side as needed. It comes with two sets of keys to open it up and once you have it in the unlocked position, the key cannot be removed. You simply push the red button and it pops open.Looking inside the box, you can see we have about 11 cubic feet of space to work with. I would like to point out that the clamps that attach it to your roof rack are adjustable back and forth as you need to adjust this back and forth, say to get clearance with your rear hatch.Clearance is not going to be an issue for this particular vehicle. As you can see there's plenty of space between our box and the hatch. And as far as the carrying capacity is concerned, it's going to be 11 cubic feet of storage, but I would go by the weight recommendations of both your vehicle and the roof rack you're using before you install anything in there. Now that we've gone over some of the features of the Rocket Box, let's go ahead and show you how it installs.
Fit Check: Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket on a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica
Speaker 1: Today, in our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica we're going to be test fitting the Thule Canyon XT Roof Basket, part number TH859XT. The Thule Canyon XT is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof. Now, if you have a minivan such as this one, you know that the more space you have the better. Here you can see we have luggage, we have a cooler, you can also have sporting goods equipment, anything you want to keep out from inside the minivan that could possibly make it dirty or just free up some space. While it doesn't come with the straps that you see here, it does provide plenty of tie down points for these straps to secure your loads to the cargo basket. These straps you can find on etrailer.com. With our hatch open, you can see you're not going to have any issues of clearance between the hatch and our cargo basket.
Kuat Mini Skinny Roof Cargo Basket and Bike Carrier Installation - 2018 Chrysler Pacifica
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Mini Skinny Roof Cargo Basket and Bike Carrier, part number MSR1B.The Kuat Mini Skinny is great for carrying up to one bike in your cargo basket and it still has enough free space to have some luggage up here as well. It's skinny enough that you could have additional accessories on the other side of it.The basket does have an aerodynamic shape and that coupled with the fact that it has a fairing already installed as well, that's going to cut down the wind noise and drag while you drive, meaning a quieter drive while you're on the road. The backside of the basket actually folds up and this is to assist with giving you a little bit of better clearance between the hatch and the trunks of your vehicle. But as you can see in this configuration, that there's not going to be an issue of clearance between our hatch and the cargo basket.Where the bike attaches to our roof basket here, you want to make sure it's able to fit through a 9 mm skewer and also this will work with both standard and disc brakes. Also, as you can see here, there's plenty of space in between the roof rack and the roof here to where our cargo basket isn't going to have any contact issues with there as well. This does come with locks to secure it to your roof and they're going to be at the top here, right over where our brackets make contact. The maximum crossbar spread for this is going to be 14-5/8 from center to center and 35-7/8 center to center.

Rola Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Chrysler Pacifica
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica we're going to be test fitting the Rola Packer Cargo Carrier, Part Number 59530. This is going to measure 20" long by 60" wide and have a carrying capacity of 500 pounds. As you can see, it sits pretty low on our Pacifica here. Next I'd like to give you a couple quick measurements. Measuring from the edge of the bumper to our outermost point, we've added about 21-1/4" to this edge here. Our ground clearance is going to be about 10", so keep an eye on that. Our closest point to the bumper, that's going to be about 1-1/2 " to this edge. This does have a nice mesh floor to it, which makes it easy to clean.
What our customers are saying:
"Great experience! I ordered the rola roof top cargo carrier. Customer service was a great help with the questions I had and my order was shipped within one week. The carrier was easy to assemble and will be very useful for our camping trips."
