Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be doing a test fit on the CIPA clip-on towing mirror, part number 7070. It offers us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a trailer or camper. As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror, but not the factory mirror. Now if I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see, there's no blind spot by the way we have it set up, but this is the view you get with just your factory mirror. The mirror itself can be rotated 360 degrees, so if you'd like to keep it at that horizontal position for a different view, you have that option. Now it can also be adjusted to most angles.

Now let's take a look at that field of view increase that we'll get from our towing mirrors. Right now I'm about 16, 20 feet behind our truck and as I start stepping over it's not a wonder to see that we're staying in that factory mirror. It's when we get over to this point where we really need that extra field of view when we're maneuvering that we start to lose it and that's where our towing mirror's really going to take over. As you can see it extends our field of view way out here to where we can see the corners of trailer, anything around us, and really help us navigate.
