Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2013 Honda CRV we're doing a test fit of the Stromberg-Carlson 23 by 60 cargo carrier. That part number is CC-100. Now this is designed to work with 2" hitches and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is pretty lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. We're going to start off with a couple measurements. Ground clearance being first, we're going to have about 11-1/2" to the bottom of that hole.



MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2013 Honda CRV we're doing a test fit of the MaxxTow 48 by 21 cargo carrier. That part number is MT70422. Now this is designed to work with 2" hitches only and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is very lightweight. It's made out of aluminum so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. We're going to start with our ground clearance measurement first. We're going to have about 12-3/4" of clearance.

Today on our 2013 Honda CRV we're doing a test fit of the CURT folding 20 by 60 cargo carrier. That part number is C18151. Now this is designed to work with 2" hitches and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. Starting off with our ground clearance, we're going to have about 13-1/2" to the bottom. Overall to our vehicle we have about 34".

Today on our 2013 Honda CRV we're doing a test fit of the CURT 20 by 40 cargo carrier. That part number is C18110. Now this is designed to work with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches and has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is very lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. First thing we're going to do is take a few measurements, starting off with our ground clearance. We're going to have about 15-3/4". Overall to our vehicle we're going to have about 27-1/2" added.

Today, on our 2013 Honda CRV, we're doing a test fit of the Curt 20 by 60 Cargo Carrier. That part number is T18150. Now, this is designed to work with 2" hitches, and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. The first thing we're going to start off with is our ground clearance measurement. We're going to have about 15-3/4" to the bottom of our carrier. Overall, to our vehicle, we're going to have about 28-3/4".



SportRack Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2013 Honda CRV, we're going to be doing a test of the 20" by 60" SportRack Vista cargo carrier, this is the folding version. Part number on it is SR9851. This has been designed for use in 2" hitches, it gives us a 500lb weight capacity. As you can see we've got 100lbs loaded on here. It's a nice stiff, solid feeling cargo carrier that's going to be provided with an anti-rattle bolt, just threads in the side there, uses a 19mm wrench. Really secures it as opposed to some of the pin and clip style connections that you see where they can be really bouncy moving. Clear this off here you can take a look at the expanded steel that we've got there is the base or the floor.



Detail K2 20x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2013 Honda CRV we're going to be a test-fit on the Detail K2. Now this is a folding cargo carrier, 20 by 60 are it's measurements, designed for use in 2-inch hitches. Part number on it is K2HCC602. The carrier is going to offer us a 500 weight capacity so it really takes care of good loads. We've got 100 pounds that we've loaded on here today. As you can see there's a little flexibility, a little movement in the carrier.

Today on our 2013 Honda CR-V, we're taking a look and doing a test fit of the 24 x 60 Curt Folding Cargo Carrier. Now they've designed this for use in 2-inch hitches. It offers a 500-pound weight capacity. Part number on it is C18153. We put 100 pounds in it here, just to kind of simulate what a load would do as you're kind of going down the road with it. It's pretty common to see some of that movement with a pinning clip-style connection.

Today on our 2013 Honda CRV well be test fitting the Surco 24 by 60 cargo carrier for two inch hitches, part number 52018. Now to begin our test fit well slide our cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin. With the pin in well simply put the clip on the other side which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and do a few measurements. From the closest point of our cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is four inches. The cargo carrier will add an additional 29 and a half inches of overall length to the vehicle.

Now to begin our test fit well slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin. We can then put the clip on the other side of the pin which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the cargo carrier, with the platform folded up, is 11 inches. From the closest point of the carrier to the back of the vehicle is one and a half inches.

Today on our 2013 Honda CRV well be test fitting the Curt 20 by 60 folding aluminum cargo carrier for two inch hitches, part number C18100. Now to begin our test fit well simply slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin. With the pin in we can simply put the clip on the other side of the pin which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance with the cargo carrier platform folded up is 10 inches. From the closest point of the carrier to the back of the vehicle is five inches.

Today on our 2013 Honda CRV well be test fitting part number C18145. This is the Curt 20 by 48 cargo carrier for both inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. Now with the included adapter with the two inch hitch on the cargo shank were ready to fit it to the vehicle. Well slide our shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With the bolt tight our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle.
