Video Transcript for Rear View Safety Backup Camera System: The Breakdown

Today we're going to take a look at the rear view safety backup camera system with the weatherproof quad view monitor. Now, this backup camera system is complete. It comes with everything shown here on the table. It has the 7" quad view LCD color monitor, has the swivel head pedestal mount that we mounted it on, or you also have a U bracket mount for the monitor. It has a color infrared weatherproof camera, remote control, one power connection harness with RCA and power converter wires, a 66' long extension cable for your camera, mounting brackets and sunshade for the camera, and the hardware to install everything.Now, we're going to start with the monitor. It is a 7" quad view digital LCD touchscreen color monitor.

It comes with a nice super sharp digital display, has a pixel resolution of 800 x 480. The buttons right here at the bottom, they are back lit so they will illuminate in the dark. It also offers an auto dimming feature which will dim the screen in low light conditions and it also offers distance grid lines on the screen that will come standard with the monitor, and they are optional and adjustable, so you can turn them on if you want them, off if you don't, and adjust them to your application.It does offer a built-in speaker. The menu can be navigated with the touchscreen or with the included remote. It does offer four different viewing options: Single, dual, triple, and quad screen.

The camera view can be triggered when the vehicle's put into reverse so you can do it so it'll remain on continuously. It does offer built-in system memory and this system will automatically save previous options settings, even after it's turned off.The sunshade right here on it, it is removable. You can just pop it off if you don't want it on. Or if you prefer to have it on, you can just pop it right on. The monitor is IP69 rated, which means it can handle the most severe weather conditions, and the casing itself is waterproof.Again, we mentioned the mounts it comes with is the swivel head pedestal mount that you can just slide on, tighten it down, and then turn this to adjust to whatever position you needed.

The bottom of the mount does have a double-faced tape on it, and also the U bracket mount that you can install it onto the side here, if you're going to hang it from up at the top, you can use the U bracket mount.Now, the backup camera right here, this is a Sharp CCD color camera. It is built with a heavy duty zinc metal construction. It encases a 2.1 mm Sharp lens. It does have weight to it. It weighs about 22 ounces.

It is a commercial grade build. It has a built-in microphone. The viewing angle of 130 degrees, 620 TV lines means you'll get best quality image with no blind spots. If you notice the infrared lights on it, nine on each side, so 18 infrared lights on the camera allows you to see up to 50 feet, even in the darkest of night. And they do put foam around the lens of the camera that'll guarantee no glare from those infrared lights. It also has a 20g vibration rating. They do offer an adjustable sun shade. You have your month ere that you can mount it on with the hardware. If you want, you can bolt on an adjustable sunshade, if you prefer. Now, the camera itself uses aircraft grade cable connectors.A few things I want to do is give you some dimensions. We'll first give you a dimension on the monitor. Let me pop off the sunshade here. So the overall width is going to be right at about 7 3/4" wide. Now, the screen, of course, is diagonal, so that's 7" screen size. Overall height on this is going to be 5 1/4", and the total depth, of course with the sunshade off, is going to be right at about 1 1/4" deep. And the measurement on the camera itself is going to be about 3" wide. Height on it is about 1 3/4" tall, and the depth on the camera is right at about 2" deep.But that should do it for the review on the rear view safety backup camera system with the weatherproof quad view monitor.
