Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Thule Rail Hydration Backpack. Now, this hands-free hydration backpack is going to let you stay hydrated without slowing you down on the trail. Now, this backpack does feature Thule's hands-free ReTrakt magnetic hose return system, as you can see right there, so this is going to be very easy to use. You can lift this hose up, take a sip of water, drop it down, and then it's going to hold magnetically in place on this strap, so you're not gonna have to worry about this flopping around or anything while you're going down the trail.
It's going to hold fast in place. So that's a really great feature that this offers. I do want to go over some of the other features of this bag. These have pockets right here that you can drop some items into to have easily at hand while you have this on your backpack, so that's going to give you some easy access to things that you want to have readily available. Let me go ahead and give you an overhead view here just to go over some of the other features of this bag.
So this does have internal pockets to keep things organized. So I'm gonna go ahead, undo these straps here, and then unzip this here just to kind of give you a view of the inside. So a really great storage space that we have here. You have pockets here to hold pumps, tools maybe, some snacks. So these are mesh pockets here in the center, so you can easily see or maybe put some things there that don't necessarily need an enclosed pocket.
So in this bag, you've got quite a bit of storage compartments, quite a bit of options here. And then on the outside here, we do have an exterior compression pocket or panel, so you can maybe throw some gloves in there, maybe even a jacket, maybe even a change of clothes, and this pocket will keep it tight in there. And then we have this other pocket here that I already have unzipped. Maybe you could throw maybe, like, a cell phone in there or something like that, and then you can zip it shut and you're not gonna have to worry about it falling out while you're going down the trail. So really great storage features.
You've got a loop here where maybe you could put a light at so you could be easily visible to people who might be coming up behind you. That'd be great, especially in low light or dark conditions. And then I did want to show you that this does feature the 2-1/2-liter HydraPak reservoir, and so I'm just gonna go ahead and pull this out here so you can see. So this has its own pocket right here where that's going to store in. And in case you don't know about this HydraPak, it's gonna be very easy to use. You're not gonna have to worry about this leaking. You're just going to slide this over like so, and then that's going to allow this pack to then open. And then you're gonna be able to fill this up with water or clean it even. And then when you have this filled with water, you're just going to fold this flap and then slide this back over like so. Put that into place there. There we go. And you slide that, and then that's going to keep your water in this bag, and, again, you're not gonna have to worry about potential leaks. And then I'm just going to go ahead and slide this back into that pocket, and then it's going to stay in place. There's a loop right here that you can use to secure that into place there. So that's gonna be very easy to use. That's a really great feature. And then I think I showed you all of the storage compartments in here. I'm gonna go ahead and close this up, zip it shut, and then go ahead and reconnect our straps here. This has a low center of gravity, so this is going to improve bike handling and it's going to reduce muscle strain. And I think I failed to mention that this does have a easy cleaning locking bite valve there, so that's gonna prevent leaks. That's included. The storage that this bag offers is about 732 cubic inches or 12 liters of cargo storage, so you're gonna have a lot of room for just the size of the bag. This is a black color. I think Thule calls it Obsidian Black. Just some overall dimensions, looking at the overall length from top to bottom, we're sitting pretty close to about 18 inches or so. Obviously that's going to change when you load this up. Same with the width, about 9-7/8 inches, it's gonna fluctuate. And this weighs maybe a little under two pounds before you start loading it down. Well, there was a lot to cover, and I hope I kind of gave you a good idea of some of the features that you can expect with this great hydration backpack. But I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
