On most automobiles, the brackets are mounted within the grille, where they remain not only unseen, but protected from scrapes and scuffs as well.

  • How Do the Removeable Arms on My Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit Get Locked Into Place?
Hello David, Happy to help you get your arms working as they should. You’re on the right track. Your Roadmaster base plate, part number # 52347-1, uses the Twist-Lock removable arms. These arms are self-locking, so you don’t need to insert any extra pin or clip. The correct procedure is to push the arm straight into the receiver and then rotate it about 90 degrees, usually clockwise. When the arm is fully engaged, a spring-loaded plunger snaps into a notch in the arm, locking it in place....

  • Recommended Items For Flat Towing a 2011 Nissan Versa
For flat towing a 2011 Nissan Versa, You will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, wiring, supplemental braking system, and a possible high-low adapter. Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit, # 52347-1. Tow Bar: Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, # RM-520. Safety Cables: RoadMaster Single Hook Coiled Safety Cables,...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2011 Nissan Versa
A complete flat towing setup typically consists of base plates, a tow bar compatible with your base plates, safety cables, tow bar wiring, supplemental braking and a high/low adapter; it sounds like you already have a supplemental braking system but we can help you locate the other parts. Typically your base plates will dictate your tow bar, and you have 2 options for base plates in the Roadmaster # 52347-1 and the Blue Ox # BX1845. Both provide you with removable arms so that your vehicle...

  • Can a 2011 Kia Sorento 4 Cylinder Flat Tow a 2008 Nissan Versa
I have good news and bad news. First the good news. I can tell you the towing capacity of the 2011 Kia Sorento 4 cylinder. The bad news, it is not enough to tow the 2008 Nissan Versa. The Sorento has a towing capacity of 1650 pounds and a gross combined vehicle weight rating of 5534 pounds. The 6 cylinder Sorento has a capacity of 3500 pounds. The 2008 Nissan Versa has a curb weight of approximately 2700 pounds. This is more than a thousand pounds above what the Sorento can tow so you...

  • What Tow Bar For Base Plates 2017 Nissan Versa
The Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit with removable arms, # 52347-1 you refer to is a confirmed fit for the 2011 Nissan Versa, all models no exceptions listed. However, according to the online version of owner's manual for 2017 Nissan Versa, if the vehicle has a manual transmission it can be flat-towed but if it has an automatic or continuous variable transmission (CVT), it must be towed using a tow dolly under the drive wheels. Please refer to your vehicle specific owners manual. This...
