This coupler pin lock ensures that your trailer is securely hitched and helps keep it safe from theft while being stored. With this lock, you won't have to carry an additional key - it codes to your Cadillac Escalade's ignition key.

Note: BOLT locks permanently code to only 1 vehicle. They cannot be re-coded or re-keyed.
Are you tired of carrying a bulky ring of keys - for your hitch lock and coupler lock, your pickup cover or trailer door, and all the various padlocks securing your equipment? Tired of fumbling for the right key or having to replace a lost key?
BOLT (Breakthrough One-key Lock Technology) has solved that problem by designing a line of locks that can operate with a key you already have handy - your vehicle ignition key.
When you insert your own key into the cylinder, spring-loaded plate tumblers move up and down until they are matched exactly to that key. The first time the key is rotated, the cylinder is uniquely coded to that key. When the key is removed, the cylinder moves into the locked position. When the key is turned again, it will rotate to the unlocked position.
BOLT is particularly useful in commercial applications. Imagine being able to send a crew without having to sign out multiple keys for a work truck, trailer, hitch pins, and equipment locks. With BOLT, the vehicle key becomes a master key. It opens all those locks and you no longer have the hassle of getting to a work site only to find that you've brought the wrong keys.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Bolt line of trailer coupler locks. These are designed to fit with your standard ignition key. They can be keyed to Ford, Chevy, GM, Nissan, Toyota, just about whatever you got. They use an automotive quality lock. It has a six-plate tumbler that's going to prevent it from being picked. There's a stainless steel shutter that you can see right here.
That keeps dirt and debris out of our cast zinc cylinder. It's going to give us superior corrosion resistance. It attaches to the stainless steel rust-proof shaft using a double ball bearing, and it's going to lock automatically when the key is removed. They make these right here in the United States and they're going to offer a limited lifetime warranty. Now to get our lock set up we're simply going to take our ignition key, our key that we're going to use everyday with our vehicle. We're going to place it right into the lock and we turn it all the way over until it stops.
At that point our lock is unlocked and our tumbler is keyed. That's all there is to it. As you'll see here now we can slide it right down in there, get our secure fit. These are adjustable anywhere from 1/2" all the way up to 3-3/8". That's on an 1/8" increment.
We've got several different spots there where we can get it connected to give us a good snug fit. Now that we've gone over how it works, we'll show you how to use it on your trailer. Here on our trailer we're just going to slide the pin right through our coupler. We'll bring our bolt lock onto the other side. We'll then just turn our key and remove it. When we're ready to head down the road we'll know that nobody's going to be able to remove the trailer from our vehicle or hook up to it when our trailer's unattended.
To remove it we'll just place our ignition key in, give it a turn, and pull it right off. Now that we've seen how it works and we've gone over all the features, that will complete today's look at Bolt line of trailer coupler locks. .

Like most boat owners, I have a multitude of keys to keep up with for my trailer and boat - boat ignition, boat cabin, boat storage compartments, trailer coupler lock, trailer coupler latch, trailer receiver lock, etc. The Bolt lock allows me to match my car's ignition key to the trailer coupler latch which means I have one less key to deal with - something I definitely appreciate. Just be sure you order the right lock for your style car key - once they are coded they cannot be uncoded.
This item is great, security for trailer and no more keys to lug around. Fast shipping ordered one day and got notice that it shipped the same day.

We have had great success using the GM trailer locks. The lock is easy to key to the existing GM keys. A great product.

Great, still in use.
This was the only lock with a shaft long enough to fit through the neck of my hitch. The same key as truck is a great convenience as well!
One key is ticket for hitch pin & tongue lock! It works as described! Thanks
this is a good lock but the ad i read said that the rod was a 5/16 in size but it is 1/4 inch was a little disappointment on that. but once again I like the idea of having just one key to open several locks that i have.
Works great programed it already fits perfect. The scale will be handy when I load my trailer for the first time.
Fantastic service, just what I needed for the new truck and super fast delivery.
I Like It!
Does not work with 2018 Chevy Silverado.

This lock is not listed to fit a 2018 model Chevy Silverado. I checked and we not have a Bolt model coupler lock that would be a fit.
