Fits 2" hitches.Just took delivery of the Anderson 4" drop adjustable. Seems very nice and decent quality. Service by e-trailer was prompt once again. Will need to put the hitch to use before giving a complete review but impressed out of the box for now.
Same with the locking pins.

Just received my order yesterday. As stated in prior reviews, the ordering was simple, I received a confirmation of my order within minutes (on a Sunday!), a follow up email was sent the next day confirming shipment with an expected delivery date and a link to track the progress of my shipment, it arrived on Thursday (as stated). I then received another email asking if everything arrived ok and if there were any questions. In short, an excellent experience throughout. Love my new hitch and it looks great on my truck. I will definitely be sharing my experience with friends and family.
It’s a beautiful thing! The hitch is solid aluminum and rock solid. It has a polished surface and will not rust. The pin dropped right out so I could flip the ball mount and everything works smoothly. It is far superior to the one it replaced.
Convenient, easy to use, and the material held up great even after being left on the truck every day in the winter. The road salt had no impact on looks, finish, or function.
What a great hitch, plus I get positive compliments from others who ask me where I got it.

What do i like about this hitch…i tow trailers requiring both size balls andmits easy to flip this around and adjust tow height. Its lightweight and easy to take on and off when needed. The built in locks keep the hitch on my truck. I like it and recommend it.
I purchased this to replace a Fastway Flash E Series Ball mount that I purchased and returned from another online seller that did not provide enough clearance from my rear bumper in the rise position. My vehicle really needed the extra 5/8ths of an inch of length on the shank of the Rapid Hitch. Clearance was not a problem in the drop position; but with a receiver that's 18-inches off the ground, I need to use the rise position more frequently than many. The other thing I noticed is that this ball mount is feels more substantial than the one from Fastway.
In use, I prefer this to the Andersen EZ hitch I had been borrowing. It looks really cool. It has 5 adjustment positions rather than four and bit more adjustability in either direction. Plus, it still fits in easily in the storage area underneath the floor of my SUV. And did I say it looks really cool. I hated to put grease on the ball before I went to hook up the trailer. Also, I plan to get the lock set. It's looks great on my SUV and seems likely to disappear overnight and look great on someone else's vehicle.
Very pleased with hitch. Only issue was some cosmetic damage to hitch shank likely caused during shipping resulting in a small dent in the shank. Damage doesn't affect operation or durability but is unfortunately visible on top of shank. Packaging should be better due to weight of item and potential for shipping damage.
Have done about 5k with this hitch, just once with a 4500lb camper but mostly with a 3000lb cargo trailer. The former in a highly raised position and the latter in the absolute bottom position. The hitch has worn very well and shows no signs of excess wear, save for the surface of the 2" ball, but it's not concerning. On a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a stock suspension, this seems to give the right balance of range of adjustment without dropping so low in the lower configuration as to scrape through dips, though it can still be done on very sharp dips with the hitch on the lowest setting. Overall, very pleased with it and love that it's lighter than steel and won't rust.
Sooooo....you sent me a product that was somehow put together backwards and I cannot take them apart somehow the ballhitch is stuck on the male portion backwards and defies gravity and doesn’t need a pin to stay on(becaue thier is no where to put the pin in cause it’s backwards
Works flawlessly. I was very excited the day I got home and my Rapid hitch was on the front porch. It came in nice box and was packaged very well. I opened it up and unpacked my rapid hitch and I was very impressed with the quality and precision of this hitch. All of the machining was PERFECT and everything fit together right. I put it in my truck right away. Going down the road with the trailer on and off there is absolutely no rattles, clunks, or jolts. I also love how everything is aluminum or stainless steel, NO RUST. I wish I could've gotten the greaseless model but my boat is too heavy. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with locking pins. With a hitch this expensive I really wish it came with them. Do yourself a favor and order them with your rapid hitch so you don't have to pay for shipping in the future. Other than that great product and I believe it will outlast me.
This is a really nice hitch if you tow a variety of trailers or need to get your ball up high as I need to do on my 1999 F450. I needed the ball up high to level my Jeep tow bar, so this is just the ticket for me. This hitch is made in the USA, which is great too. eTrailer.com service is excellent and their communication perfect. They obviously care about their customers and the product.
Only 2 things prevent a 5 star rating for this very pricey hitch. IMO, for the money, the manufacturer should also include: 1. a lock pin for the adjustable hitch ball. 2: an anti-rattle attachment.
I ordered my AM3405 and was amazed how quickly the etrailer team responded with not only my order confirmation but the fantastic follow up when it was shipped and delivered. I highly recommend etrailer and will order from them again.
The product showed up in great shape and I am very happy with the quality. One recommendation would be to order two of the locking pins. One for the receiver and one to lock the ball mount to the unit. You will see by my picture I resolved that issue with a pad lock but the locking pin would have been better.
I really like this hitch. Very good quality. Only short fall is that it should include the locks due you can't buy them in any store due to the length is longer than the normal pin lock. I recommend that should be sold as a combo. picture has the locks required
A VERY nice piece that will set your mind at ease. Easy to adjust height.
The ONLY thing I wish is there was an option to have different sized ball combinations. I mainly use 2" and NEVER use a 2 5/16"(or whatever the larger size is) and would prefer to have a 1 7/8" on the other side.
ll hold off on the review of the hitch itself for a bit, but just wanted to give you guys a heads up on a coupe things. Overall the hitch looked pretty good. The box had obviously been opened and re-taped shut. The hitch was not double boxed (I don't know if they are generally or not) and it was really beat up with holes in it. I believe all the parts were in the box, but not totally sure. It's on the truck now, and the only issue I saw was having to tap the pin in with a hammer as the holes on the shank and ball hitch didn't line up well enough to install by hand. If I had any suggestion it would be to double box the order.
Nice hitch however the actual hitch box had clearly been retaped and was missing the height adjustment pin. Had to make a call to etrailer and they are sending the pin it should have came with.
Haven't pulled anything with it yet, but overall it appears to be a quality product. There is over .0500 play in the hitch when mounted in the receiver. That will probably make a lot of noise. The adjustment part of the hitch seems pretty good.
Hello The hitch works great as viewed in the enclosed pictures. If inverted it hits the bumper, of my Dodge 2500. The section that goes into the receiver is about 1/2" too short and hits the bumper. I have not tried it on my other vehicle to see if this is a problem. Kind Regards Leon D

Still content with the product. It appears to be well engineered and has served me well without issues through a year of use. Would get another if it becomes necessary for a second vehicle.
