Question:
I need a 2 5/16” ball and have a 2” receiver. I want to tow a cargo trailer that has a knob for a sway bar on one side of the hitch. Does this ball mount work with a sway bar system? My reciever is not rated for weight distribution and the trailer ways about 2000lbs. If this ball mount doesn’t work, can you suggest another?

In order to use the Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount part # C45331 with a friction sway control device you'd need to have a sway control tab welded to the side of the platform such as the Weld-On Sway Control Tab part # C45822. If you don't already have a sway bar you can use the Curt Friction Sway Control part # 17200.
