When you’re towing serious weight, you need gear that can handle it. This 2-ball mount is built from solid steel and rated for up to 12,000 lbs with the 2" ball or 36,000 lbs with the 2-5/16" ball. The 5/16" thick channel frame and welded gusset plate brace the shank and channel, keeping the mount steady even at full load. It’s made for heavy-duty use and stays solid under pressure.

Different trailers sit at different heights, and this adjustable mount makes it easy to keep each one level. You get a full 9-1/4" of drop or 9" of rise, with five mounting positions for fine tuning. The ball platform slides in the channel and locks in place with the included pins and clips, so switching between setups takes just a few seconds.
Towing gear gets exposed to rain, salt, and grime, but this mount is ready for it. The matte black powder coat finish resists corrosion, backed up by a nickel undercoat and zinc topcoat on the heat-treated pins and clips. It keeps rust away and maintains its strength after repeated use on the road.

Sliding a heavy mount into a receiver can be awkward, but this one goes in clean thanks to its CNC-chamfered edges. The smooth corners protect the powder coat from chipping while helping the shank seat firmly in your 2-1/2" hitch receiver. Once pinned in place, it’s ready to tow without fuss or extra tools.

With both 2" and 2-5/16" hitch balls welded to a single platform, you can swap trailer couplers in seconds—just pull the pins, flip the platform, and reinsert them. And when you’re not towing, the same adjustable channel works with accessories like a clevis, shackle attachment, or hitch step (each sold separately). It’s a straightforward setup that covers work trailers one day and weekend hauls the next.

Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about our BulletProof Hitches 2-Ball Mount that's gonna work with the 2.5" hitch. And today we have the 9" rise and the 13" rise version, so let's check 'em out. These are gonna be a great option if you are looking for something that's gonna be able to help you accommodate for different size trailers. Maybe you're hauling with multiple different types, one day you have a utility, the next day you have a horse, or maybe one day you're hauling a boat, and, or, if you have a different vehicle each time you're doing it, this is gonna be able to really level out the rise and drops we have. You wanna make sure you are accommodating for your rise and drop, because if you have something that is a lot higher or lower than your hitch receiver, trying to connect them is gonna give you an uneven, it's not gonna make things level. But this is designed to help keep things level, and the way you do that is, you're gonna actually raise where this ball mount sits, and we're gonna do that just by removing these pins and clips.
I'll recommend keeping a hand on it too, because as you can see right here, once it fall down, you can actually bring this up in this channel, and if you see these different holes, these holes are gonna be in different spots where you can mount this to, to accommodate for different drops or rises. The configuration it's in right now is meant that it'd be if you need any drop to whatever you're hauling. Now, if you need a rise, you're gonna have to flip it around, and to do that we're just gonna remove this hitch pin. Now, this isn't gonna come with one, so if you have one already, you should be set. If you don't, you can find one of those on our website.
And I will say, this thing is pretty heavy, so definitely keep that in mind. And when you're working with it, I like to rest it on my knee for a second just to help line things up. And if you'll notice, too, we have these two holes, and what those two holes are meant for is to bring it either closer or further away from your vehicle, and that's just gonna depend on what your needs are. And I'm just gonna push this in, line everything up, and secure it down. But now as you can see, we have a rise.
And you'll also be able to flip your balls round. Now with the one we have at top, that's gonna be our 2-5/16" ball mount, and that's gonna be capable of towing up to 36,000 pounds. If I flip this around, so the two inch ball is on top, give you a better visual of that, I'll just remove those pins, flip it around, put it back in place. And this is gonna have a weight capacity up to 12,000 pounds. Now, this powdered coat can be kind of thick, so getting these pins back through here can be difficult sometimes, but usually when you get the first one on, it's a lot easier.
And then we're also gonna have a max tongue weight of 6,000 pounds. So really the difference between your towing and your tongue weight is gonna be which direction it's going. So with your tongue weight, that's gonna be the pressure that's being applied downwards, and your towing weight is what you're gonna be pulling behind your trailer. We're gonna get a few measurements on how this is gonna sit on the back of your vehicle. So the way you can measure this is, where I go from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the ball mount, I can get that total measurement of this, and that's gonna be about 17.5". So no matter what vehicle you have, that's how far it's gonna stick out. Now, we have this on the furthest hole. So like I showed you earlier, we have two holes, if I push this into that second hole, it's gonna be a little bit closer, so that's gonna shave off an inch. Now, talk about saving you space, you can remove the second ball, or this ball that we have on the back, and if you do that, going from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of that channel is gonna be about 13 inches. And again, the same thing's gonna apply if you have it on that second hole, it's gonna be 12 inches instead. And this is gonna be very sturdy, it's gonna be made out of a very durable steel, it especially needs to be that durable since we are carrying such heavy weights. Now, it's also important to note, we are hauling with this, definitely double check what your hitch is rated for, and what your truck truck is rated for, so you don't overload it. And we're gonna have this black powder coat finish to it, and that's gonna prevent any weather damage or this from rusting over time, so it lasts you longer too. And the pins are gonna be made out of a heat-treated steel, they're also gonna have this nickel undercoating and the zinc top coating. And what all that means is, that steel is gonna make these very durable to handle those high weights, and that coating is also gonna help it be more weather resistant too. Now, we are using this, I recommend using this ball grease so you can grease these balls, because when you're constantly using this, this is gonna have a lot of abrasion or force being applied to it, so that grease is gonna help this last a lot longer. Overall, I think this is a great option, especially if you do find yourself hauling in a lot of different types of trailers, or you're using a different truck every now and then. Now, if you're looking for something a little bit more premium that might look a little bit nicer on the back of your vehicle, then I'd recommend B&W Tow & Stow Ball Mounts, because what that's gonna do is allow you to stow the ball mounts behind the actual housing, so it looks a little bit more cleaner when you're not hauling anything. But, if you're looking for something that's gonna have those high weight capacities, and be a little bit more bulky and a little bit more simple to use, then I think this is a really great option for you. Well, that was just our look at the BulletProof Hitches Ball Mount, thanks for watching.

Fit truck and trailer better than expected. Pulls heavy trailer very well. That is why I bought locks to try and keep the hitch from being taken.
Great hitch! Very solid. Was a little bigger than expected but no issues. Makes switch between trailers so much easier
heavy duty that’s for sure. packaging was excellent and no chance of it getting damaged in transit. Its got some weight to it so that’s good.Powder coating is nice. Its definitely getting the job done.
Rust starting to show and coating has worn off. Rep suggested this drop length and it is definitely too much even with my 2500. Not a product flaw a customer service flaw
The product was delivered as promised and I have had the opportunity to try it. I'm very happy with it. Some reviewers complained about noise, so I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet my connection was especially compared with my previous hitch. I am very confident that will me meet my towing needs!
Not my first time dealing with Etrailer and definitely not my last. Easy ordering and on time every time. Hitch is built very well exactly what we needed to tow our skid steer around. Seems very solid compared to otehrs we looked at.
Thanks etrailer.
It is heavy buy a locking pin so you don’t have to take it off
Very well made. I needed the 2.5 for my dually. It feels as heavy as the bumper. Lol I won’t have to worry about it ever failing when I’m towing.
It is a great HD hitch. No complaints.
This thing is bulletproof. Lol
There's all kinds of things that can and we'll fail when towing but I'll bet this hitch is not one of them. One less thing to worry about. Love it.
Exactly as expected. Very solid hitch. No slop in the connections like other adjustable hitches. Can't wait to start towing.
Beyond expectations. People come by complimenting on my hitch and asking where I bought it. I did not realize other hitches break. Well, this one won't break
