Hi. Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna talk about our PTC Custom Fit Engine Air Filters on our 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sport. Replacing your engine air filter is gonna be a great way to kind of save on some gas mileage, and that's gonna help lead to the longevity of your engine, allowing you to get more air into your fuel. Now, let's take a look on how to install this into your Jeep Wrangler. Now, to access our old air filter, we're gonna to take off this lid.
And it's gonna have four bolts holding it down in place, one near each corner. And to take it off, all you're gonna need is either a Phillips or a flathead. In some cases, a flathead might be a little bit easier, but I kinda like using the Phillips. And it's gonna take a little few turns to get off. But once you get it off, then you just have to repeat the same process on the other three.
Now, when removing this lid, it can be a little stiff and kind of hard to pull, but if you just push a little bit and kinda wiggle it a little bit, it should unlatch from the back, and then you can lift it up a little bit more, giving you the ability to take out this old filter. Our filter's gonna look a little bit dirty, nothing too crazy, but if we compare it to our new one, it's gonna be a very big difference, as you can see right there. And to replace the old one and put the new one in, we just have to put it back in the same way we took it out. So making sure it's facing this direction, and lifting up on that lid again, and just sliding it in, and making sure everything's flush. And when it is, you can just push this back down and run our bolts through these holes again.
Overall, it's gonna be a really quick installation. Nothing too crazy or invasive, and it's just gonna be great for your vehicle. Because at some point, either you or someone else is gonna have to replace your air filter and knowing how to do it, is gonna save you a lot of money in the long run. But if you liked everything you saw today, that's just a look at the PTC Custom Fit Engine Air Filters on our 2021 Jeep Wrangler.
