PTC Air Intake Filter - Jeep Engine Air Filter - PTC49CR Review

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this PTC custom-fit engine air filter. This is gonna replace your vehicle's existing filter to help improve your vehicle's performance. This does have these embossed paper plates that are going to help protect your engine from debris and help to improve the air flow into your engine. Obviously, oxygen is a very important component in combustion, so improving your air flow is going to help increase or improve your acceleration and your mileage.

This is a custom-fit filter. It's going to work for your 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler with the two-liter I4 engine as well as the 3.6-liter V6 engine. It will also work with the 2019 and newer Jeep Wrangler with the two-liter I4 or the 3.6-liter V6. It will also work with the 2020 and newer Jeep Gladiator with the 3.6-liter V6 engine. So if you have any of those Jeeps, this is going to be a great option to help improve your performance, help to keep any debris out of your engine where it could potentially cause problems over time.

This is going to be a really nice filter. It's got this silicone seal around here that's gonna make it sit in your housing nice and tight up against the edges so that the air is not gonna be able to get around the sides, can be forced to go through the paper plates that we have there. This is gonna be a really simple install, basically just open up your engine's air filter housing, pull out the current filter, put this one in its place, close up your housing, and you're ready to go. Definitely something that you can do even if you're not super mechanically inclined. You don't have to be a mechanic to do it, and you really don't need to pay a mechanic to do it.

It's simple enough that even if you've never done anything to maintain your vehicle before, this is one of the easiest things you can do to improve that performance and help the vehicle out. Now, for those of you who need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work for your Jeep, this is an exact replacement for the part numbers you see on the screen there. So you're going through your owner's manual or when you pull out your current filter, if you see any of those numbers, you can trust that this is gonna be exactly what you need. The manufacturer does recommend changing your filter about every 12,000 to 18,000 miles or about once a year. So it is a good idea to stay on top of that and make sure that your engine is protected, getting the air flow that it needs for good performance.

So if it is time to switch out your filter, this is gonna be a great option for you. That's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
