How to Remove Old Thule Lock Core to Replace it

I need a replacement lock. The number for the broken lock is 2826. I see locks numbered 2824 and 2874. I purchased the carrier used on ebay so I have no idea how old it is. Will either of these two locks work?

Can you get the lock unlocked? If so you can insert the Thule change key # 853-1251 into the core and then pull the core out all the way and replace it with a new one like the part # THLOCKN166 and then use the new key part # THKEYN166. To install the new lock core you'd just reverse the process described.
