Video Transcript for Checking Out the Thule Reacha Bike Connector Replacement

Hi, everyone. I'm Evangeline right here at etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Thule Reacha Bike Connector. This is a piece that comes with your Reacha carts and connects from the drawbar to your bike. It's two pieces together. Now, sometimes things come up where you may have lost the piece or, which often happens, you keep the drawbar for the bike part on and you have the other cart piece and you just misplace one or the other.

This is gonna be the exact replacement part in those situations. The piece that connects to your bike can be left on there. You do have to be mindful that it will drop when you remove from the cart, so some people move it over to the side. Now, this connects by using your hook-and-loop straps as well as your strap up top. Now, for the cart part, this is going to have a soft foam handle on it, and is also secured to the drawbar of your cart.

You can adjust the angle depending on what you need, whether it's how it connects to the bike or how you may want to cart to your cart. The two pieces connect together with your Reacha lift tab, and then you just push this on through to the distance that works for you, your bike and your cart, and then you just push down to secure. So this allows for adjustability of distance from the bike and what works best for you for hauling even your heavier items. For your Thule Reacha bike trailer, I do have a full review video that explains exactly how everything connects, but if you're looking for just the bike connector instructions, we'll reiterate it here in this video. So here's your bike connector.

This secures to the seat post of your bike. What you want is to clear the rear tire, which can be adjusted from the bike trailer side. I always like it to be as flat as possible, but sometimes you might have a shorter or taller bike. So in those cases, you can adjust to either securing it right up there to the seat post up top or towards the bottom, depending on your bike's height. This utilizes a really high-quality double hook-and-loop strap, so there is a rubberized material in here just to get that better grip on your seat post.

We're gonna bring this strap in through this buckle and then tighten on down, and then we're gonna bring our secondary strap around as well to get that tight fit. I've noticed when using this that this does go up and down if I do hit some speed bumps and things like that. So you have this safety loop, which if you're in the higher position, can go up top and tighten down. If you're in the lower position, this will go along the frame to keep that handle in a down position. This connector part will work with your Reacha Sport or your Reacha City bike trailer, which is what we have here today. Sometimes people don't use the bike connector part because they're not planning on biking around with their cart. Also, the perks to using this without the bike connector is you do get a heavier weight capacity of the cart. Good for if you're hauling things from one place to another or a quick grocery run with your heavy items. But whenever you do need to connect it to your bike, it's nice to have that bike connector piece. Sometimes people get multiples of these just because they may have a different bike. Maybe you might be taking your bike out and then your friend will be taking their bike out and you both may want to use your different carts at different times. So whatever the case may be, if you are looking for the part that connects your bike to your bike trailer, you can find it right here at etrailer, as well as any other items for your Reacha cart that you may need replacing or adding onto your system. My name is Evangeline, and I hope you enjoyed the journey.
