Hello, neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Heavy-Duty Crossbar Fit Kit for your Rhino-Rack Steel Mesh Baskets and Steel Mesh Trays. So, folks, this fit kit will let you mount a Rhino-Rack Steel Mesh Basket or Steel Mesh Tray Cargo Carrier to your Rhino-Rack Heavy Duty Crossbars. So you get four of these, I'm gonna call 'em square U bolts 'cause they're kind of square shaped, and then you get four of these plates, there's two washers back behind there and you get two knobs. So you're gonna get four complete sets of clamps here. Now these are powder coated metal plates.
They're gonna make sure that you're not gonna have rust, corrosion, that stuff. They do fit a wide variety of the Rhino-Rack Wire Baskets and Wire Mesh Trays. So make sure you're checking the website, etrailer.com, on this product page to ensure all the different options out there these work with. They have a nice three year warranty and I'll throw some dimensions up here on the screen. Overall, side to side, in between 'em, we're getting two and a quarter inches and overall on the heighth, we're getting two and three quarter inches.
Now keep in mind, one thing I noticed whenever I was measuring 'em here is that some of these, they can be wider than the other, like the spread, so keep in mind when I'm doing those measurements, I'm trying to get 'em as close to square and everything when I'm measuring that. So if you get one that's a little wider, let's say overall, it's just because it's opened up a little bit. Nothing to worry about. Kit includes 4 U-bolts, 4 black powder coated plates, 8 hand knobs, 8 wing nuts, and 8 washers.Just wanted to let you know that the Heavy Duty mounting kit did the job of mounting a Rhino Rack basket to my existing Pioneer Platform perfectly. I used them to attach to the crossbars between the rack planks. Included some pictures for reference.
This worked out great for me. I had off brand square tube cross bars and a rhino rack steel mesh cargo basket without hardware and these fit perfect! Service was good and timely delivery of product. Very pleased with overall experience and info available on website to help find what I needed.
These hold downs worked perfectly on my rooftop box and I’d recommend them to anyone. They worked amazing.
The part is clean and looks like it always belonged with the rest of the roof rack.

These clamps were exactly what I needed and have held up well as we have put loads of stuff into our rhino rack!
