Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement center section for the Reese M5 14,000 pound Max Duty 5th Wheel Hitch. This part here will replace the center section that's on your 14,000 pound Reese M5 Max Duty 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch. We do sell that hitch separately on our website. It's part number 30947.
And again, this is just for the center section. The other pieces you would need for this is the pivoting head that will attach up on the top here. That's sold separate on our website. And on the legs, which attach to the side here. Those items also are sold separately.
They're listed on the product page as related products. And I wanted to pop up an insert to show you there's what the pivoting head would look like. That goes, attaches to the top here. That goes by part number of RP30892. (sniffles) And then the legs right there, there's an insert for the legs that attach to the sides here.
That's part number 30941. And again, those are sold separately. Now the hardware to install the center section is not included. This center section does offer a nice close connection between the head and the pivot bushings, to further reduce rattle and movement. And because these pivoting bushings, one here and one back here, are independent from the head themselves, they can be tightened over time, to ensure a stronger connection.
Wanted to zoom in and show you, if you look here, there's a bolt head here, that you to put a socket on, and then a bolt head here. So there's two pivot bushings right in here. And even over time, they, from pivoting, you can see how they pivot side to side. It could loosen up. And if it loosens up, you can actually tighten them down to adjust it. Now also, if you notice on the sides, you can see there's four rows of holes. That's to attach the legs to, to get your correct hitch height adjustment. Anytime you're towing a 5th wheel, you do wanna make sure you're towing it as level as possible. So it gives you a four inch range of hitch height, anywhere from 14 inches to 18 inches in hitch height. You can see this part has a nice black powder coat finish to it. There's this rust and corrosion. But that's gonna do it for the review on this replacement center section for the Reese M5 14,000 pound, Max Duty 5th Wheel Hitch.
