The replacement offset snap studs on the Extang tonneau slide along the rails, and they can be removed and rotated to ensure a proper fit in any climate. Cold weather causes vinyl to contract, and heat causes it to expand, so the fit of any vinyl tonneau cover will change according to the outdoor temperature. To make sure your tonneau cover always fits properly, the tonneau uses these adjustable studs so that you can fine-tune the fit for the season.
Set the studs in the "High" position in cold weather and in the "Low" position in warm weather. When in the "high" position, the cover is given a bit more slack to allow for the natural contraction that takes place when vinyl is exposed to cold temperatures. The "low" position takes up any slack, ensuring that the cover stays taut even as the vinyl expands.

Set attaches to top snaps included in the tonneau cover.Service was speedy, transaction professional. These little jobbies are exactly what I needed. Well, that and installation instructions. But it's not rocket science. After I chiseled out the metal block at the end of the track and replaced one rail of snaps, I figured out they just pop off. Not sure yet if they just pop on or not but whew! Tonneau is saved for further use. Thanks so much.
Prolly I should order another set just in case.

i was very pleased with off set snaps for my tonneau cover on pickup..high quality..everything as advertised,,,i went to a local truck accersory shop in my town and asked if they had these clips and they said no...must be an old tonneau hadn't seen those in 15-20 years..so went to google found your product...great thank you..jules h
Fit perfect , just what i needed
Since I had purchased this cover and had it installed on my 2000 Dodge Dakota years ago I have lost several of these snap studs and needed them desperately. Thank you, I now have a tight and secure cover again.

Continues to do the job.
Worked perfectly when I replaced my 20 year old cover the other day :)
the original ones are stainless where these were not. I would have loved to have the stainless ones instead, I'm sure they would have been alot more expensive.
Still haven’t received. I’ve emailed etrailer and left multiple messages. Ordered oct 23 and today is dec 4.

This shows that it was delivered on 11-30. Sometimes, carriers will deliver packages to the wrong address or your neighbors by accident. Have you had a chance to check with your neighbors to see if they received it in your place.

I live in Va and the tracking # says it was delivered in Mo. I haven’t ask neighbors. If etrailer could send the item I ordered 6 weeks ago I would appreciate it. Please let me know what is happening moving forward. The bed cover that I ordered and received can’t be installed without the snaps that I’m waiting on.

Great. Thank you. new snaps for the tonneau on my 96 S-10. They work great. I did spray them with WD-40 When I installed them but likely did not need to. They make opening and closing so much easier than the setup I could not replace too old. None have failed and I have used them continuously. Thank you.
