Today were going to review part number 004B. This is the Convert-A-Ball three ball storage case for storing the Convert-A-Ball interchangeable hitch balls. What this does is to store and protect any size Convert-A-Ball hitch ball when not in use; has a lid and a spot for the three Convert-A-Balls of any size. The hitch balls are sold separately or if youre happen to have the set which is the shank with the three hitch balls, this is a nice case to help you to be able to store them and keep them in good condition. This is constructed of a sturdy gray plastic, it is made in the USA it does come with a two year limited warranty. Basically what you would do is the balls youre not using, you just open them up put them in there and then if you push the pin in it locks it on to the storage case; same here with this one.
And then if you want to take the one off the shank and then right there you would have three balls actually held on because the pins are inserted through and this actually has two holes to screw it down to some surface if you want to attach to your vehicle of your trailer. Then once its installed just push the lid down over it and that will protect the balls from any type of damage. And then to get them with this attached on, you just lift up on this. There it is. That should do it for part number 004B.

This is a very convienent way of carrying the extra sizes of the hitch balls.
Keeps it all together.

The #004B Box was purchased to house the 1 7/8", 2" & 2 5/16" interchangeable balls from my Reese 74309 Towpower Interchangeable Hitch Ball Kit. Although the box was designed for the Reese Convert-A-Ball system, it worked fine with my system which has a tapered shaft as opposed to the straight shaft on the Convert-A-Ball. Top half and base of the box snap together securely and with authority.

I am very happy with my purchase. I bought the 10K lb hitch, convert-a-ball set and cases for both. The ball mount with the "cushion" pulls nice and smooth, no harsh jerking. I really like the hitch/balls set. Stainless steel so no peeling of chrome or rusting. Case for balls and bag for hitch are also nice, keep everything organized and clean.
Really nice product works good with my Reese tow power balls.
Tim m - 01/24/2018Should you get it?... You should!The only reason I didn't give it the highest rating is I think the case should come with the kit. Especially if you buy the stainless balls. At first I thought why? I can put them under my seat or in the door, or in an extra bag I have... Then I envisioned seeing them falling out on the ground. Lost. Clanking around in transit. Somewhere I don't remember... The Where's my 2" ball honey? Questions and so I just bought the darn case and I'm happy I did. It's a quality case made for these balls. Don't go uncovered! And to convert-a-ball... Include the case with kit!!! Thank you etrailer! My experience was fantastic and I will be calling on you for my future trailering needs.
this is the second box i have, it keeps everything organized and clean.
This case does exactly what it says - it stores the convert-a-ball balls very securely. However, the top of my case doesn't fit extremely well, so just about anything bumping in to it will knock it off.
Good though is that it's got mounting holes in the case so the bottom plate of the case can be screwed into a surface very easily. If you watch the informational video, you'll see them - I didn't notice them right off.
If I had the option, I'd probably make my own, smaller, case with dowel rods and a drill.
Its a great box to carry n store the convert a ball. The only thing that needs an upgrade is the lid. It always comes off, does not lock in place.
The convert-a-balls fit tight on pins in the plastic box. It keeps them from rolling around , losing or damage them. Great Item. Ordering and delivery was quick and easy and was on time. I would shop at e-trailers again .
Keeps my convert-a-ball hitch balls in one place and also keeps the interior storage area of my truck clean, great idea.
I ask him how he liked his convert a ball and he said “ I love it!”.
Take THAT to the bank. I rarely hear anything near that response.
Awesome carry one drop hitch just change ball very convenient
this product is decent, it works as designed for the most part. only complaint I have is that the balls can rattle slightly on their mounts inside the box, and the lid on the one I have tends to pop off on it's own when stored or even when you go to pick it up, so you have to be careful how you grab it, but a piece if tape around it would fix that. if the lid fit better, it would be 4/5 stars.
Strong, well made case provides protection for all 3 tow balls in one neat place & ready to use at anytime. Can also be mounted vertically or horizontally. A must have!
Heavier built than expected. Looks to be made to screw to truck which I won't do so wish had a place to grab bottom better to open but screwed to a piece of plastic I had for a handle so works great.
This product is ok to store your trailer balls in. However, the lid wont stay on. If the lid would have stayed shut I would have given it a lot better rating.
Nice case for the cargo portion of my truck. Keeps all of the hitch balls in one place and clean.
Works well for it's intended use. No easy way to open it though and if it roles around at all the cover will come off as it is not securely fastened. The balls though do stay in place as they are connected with the ball pin just like on the mount.
Very nice product. Takes up little space and protect your interior from grease and all the hitch balls are in one place.
This case looks good, and does what it's supposed to do. Keeps the balls stowed and locked in place. Only time will tell on quality of the material, since it's made of plastic. Needless to say I'm very pleased with this purchase.
