Jeff Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we'll take a look at the replacement 7 3/4 inches long tow bar attachment tab for your CURT base plates. This is for a quantity of one tab. Now, this will replace one of the 7 3/4-inch long tow bar attachment tabs on your CURT base plate. The CURT base plate does come with two of these tabs to hook to your tow bar.
This is just for one of 'em. So if you happen to damage one or misplaced one, this is one that would replace those. This attachment tab is what'll lock into your base plate on the towed vehicle. And that allows you to attach the vehicle to the tow bar. It is a twist lock tab for easy installation and removal as needed.
Basically, what you'll do, you see it has the spring-loaded pin right over here. So all you have to do to insert this is you just push this end into the base plate, twist this, and then when the pin lines up, it'll lock it into place and hold it there. And it can be easily removed just by pulling on this and then twisting it and removing it from the base plate when you're not towing. And then the base plate is concealed under the front of the vehicle. You can't even tell it's on there.
This does have a nice corrosion-resistant zinc plating on it, and as I mentioned, this is for a quantity of one attachment pin. But that should do it for the review on the replacement 7 3/4-inch long tow bar attachment tab for the CURT base plates..
We bought a Jeep Wrangler for a Flat Tow Vehicle. The Jeep had an existing Base Plate missing the tow tabs. After several days of trying to identify the correct part, we were ready to purchase a new tow system. We called etrailer to verify part numbers for the correct tow system.
