Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look together at the Sylvania 578 SL LED bulb. Now this highly efficient LED bulb is designed for use on your vehicle with lights. Having a clear or white lens cover, these LED bulbs can be a great upgrade or replacement option. They can be used as daytime running lights, reverse, dome, trunk, and license plate lights.
However, as you might know, many LED upgrades may not be street legal in your state, so you wanna be sure that you're checking all regulations before installing. The bulb type is 578, and the bulb shape is 41 millimeter festoon as you can see there on your screen. This bulb features a bright 6,000 kelvin cool white light output, and this bulb is going to give immediate response with instant full brightness that will give other drivers more time to react. It's designed for longevity with heat management and shock protection, and this bulb is going to be an easy installation into a standard socket. Now, as you can see, I am wearing gloves.
It is a good idea to wear gloves or even use a clean shop towel when you are handling these and installing them to reduce the transfer of oils from your skin during installation to that bulb. Now, some vehicles may require the use of load resistors when upgrading. As you might know, resistors prevent hyper flash and error code. So if you find out that you're going to be in need of resistors, if you're upgrading your lights, on your screen, I am including our part number for some load resistors from Sylvania. You can just take that part number and pop it in the search field of our website.
That will take you to those resistors and you can add those to your order.
