Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this specialty recreation 14 inch by 22 inch replacement RV skylight kit with the white color and the white inner garnish. Now replacing your skylight should not be a regular job. This one here is built to resist sun damage and last for years. It'll help keep your RV protected from leaks and exposure. And this part is a complete kit, which will include this outer white skylight, and then the white inner garnish for a nice complete repair inside and out.
These parts are made from a UV resistant polycarbonate. It'll hold up against the sun without cracking or discoloring. The outer skylight we mentioned right here, it is a nice white polycarbonate outer skylight. This will help soften the light for a nice comfortable interior. And then the white inner garnish underneath it, this will give you interior a nice seamless look.
The exterior skylight is designed to fit a 14 inch by 22 inch cutout with minimum roof thickness of 2 3/4 inches. Now the overall dimension you can see it has the mounting flange on it, so your overall dimension on this exterior skylight is gonna be about 25 3/4 inch by about 17 3/4 inch this way. And the actual overall height of just the outer skylight, if we measured from the roof line to the top of the bubble, it's about six inches tall. Now the inner garnish, it is also designed to fit a 14 inch by 22 inch cutout. Now the overall dimension on this with the mounting flange, it's gonna be 23 3/4 inches by 16 inches this way, and the overall height from the roof to the top is gonna be eight inches.
Now once this is installed, it does sit flush against the roof ceiling securely when it's paired with the included self-leveling sealant. Now it will require small screws for installation. The screws are not included. We do sell those separately. The screw holes you can see on the mounting fledge here are about three inches apart.
And this is a nice rigid design. It does stay put. There's no warping or lifting between those screws after you install it. But that's gonna do it for a look at this specialty recreation 14 inch by 22 inch replacement RV skylight kit in the white color with the white inner garnish.
We Recieved our new Skylight yesterday and proceeded to install it everything went smoothly, just take your time removing the sealant so not to damage roofing material..
I have a little more sealant to apply but it's currently watertight. It all fit perfectly making the swap out easy..

The plastic was a good match replacement for the shower skylight. The issue was elsewhere. It came with no hardware, so I had to use the rusted nasty old hardware (or buy new for like $[XX] more) and most importantly, the sealant that came with it popped with the first squeeze of the caulking gun. It went out the side of the cap everywhere and I had to slap it on by hand. What a pain and what a mess.
