Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking together at our underbed rail and installation kit for your Reese Elite Series 5th wheel trailer hitches. Now folks, this is a custom fit application and what that means is it's gonna fit 2020 through 2026, the GMC and the Chevy Silverado, both the 25 and 3500 series trucks, long and short bed without the OEM prep package already installed. So again, no prep package installed for this to fit. Double check our fit guide as sometimes these videos could become outdated, information could change, and it could potentially fit newer makes and models as well.
Now, you'll find that fit guide on our homepage, etrailer.com. Where it says My Vehicle or Vehicle Information, enter any information it asks you to ensure you're getting the right parts. Now, this installation kit is designed for use again with those Reese Elite Series 5th wheel trailer hitches, but it also works as a gooseneck hitch as well. Now, the underbed rails will provide a complete access to your truck bed once that hitch is removed. So again, your truck bed actually has to physically come off for this to be installed.
And then once it's installed, you're gonna be able to have access to your full bed. All you would see is nothing but flush on the four puck access points and the gooseneck there in the center. Now, zooming in, you can kind of see that center hole a lot better If I move outta the way here, and you can see the nice black powder coat finish, super heavy-duty steel, everything's gonna be nice and corrosion-resistant. You do have the rails already welded together and everything. You're gonna get a nice huge bag of hardware that includes your bracket blocks, the bolts, washers, nuts that you need.
You're gonna get a couple of fish wires in there. If you've never used a fish wire, pretty simply, that goes around the coil part, the thread part of your bolts. You fish it up and through the frame and then it pulls it back in to where you can access it and have everything nice and tight. (fittings clattering) Now, one thing to note is that whenever you're installing this, like I said, you're gonna have to remove the bed, but the capacity of this is gonna vary on whether or not you use welded on OEM frame brackets, and those are sold separately if you don't have them and you want a max weight rating of 32,000 pounds, or if you want a max rating of 20,000 pounds, you can get bolt on inner frame brackets. Both of those are sold separately.
I'll put the item numbers on the screen for you as well. So again, folks, a nice rail kit designed by a Reese for your underbed. Again, the bed must come off for this application. Once you do, it is a vehicle-specific design. It's gonna be a shorter installation time, less drilling required than your universal systems that are out there. And then again, it's a one and done. So meaning you're gonna do one install, you'll never have to worry about it again. You're gonna have a nice, beautiful flat bed truck access once you're done. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together today. Again, I'm Steven. Thanks so much for watching. I hope this information's been helpful for you. And if you don't mind, if you got time, please shoot us some photos, maybe before and after of the install, maybe with your bed off, kind of show other customers and neighbors what everything looks like during the install process. And we're gonna work on getting some videos as always on as many fits as we can. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
